Say what? If I catch a pervert on top of a little girl he’s an immediate death penalty case.

I propose that if the Republicans ever get the White House and the Senate simultaneously again, they shouldn’t even wait for any vacancies. Just pack the Court. Who says we can’t? We’re in too much of a crisis to fix it the traditional way.
Well, not by the judicial officals. Prisoners, OTOH, "take care" of people like this.
Just release 'em in the general population and let nature take its course.

If the penalty for rape and rape & murder is the same it will encourage rapists to murder their victims to get rid of the evidence. But again it should be a state matter.

Seriously, it is getting to be impossible to protect society from such perverts, they are a danger to themselves and others in prison, it really seems like the best solution is to execute them. I think this is one of the instances where the dp would serve as a highly effective deterant.
Can we now put these “child rapists” in general population when they go to prison ???????

Do the american people have the courage to drag thier corrupt law makers out and do to them what the french did during there revolution. I fear that our leaders no longer fear us, and act without concern for thier futures because they’ve got our number.
You are right. If the penalty is the same then it pretty much guarantees that fewer victims will be left alive. Of course it's not so emotionally satisfying, but it is logical. And yes, it should be a state matter anyway.
Kennedy? How about Roberts? Supposedly a somewhat conservative judge. How in Louisiana can this law that they introduced only pertain to adult women? Is their an age limit? Is an adult female more of a female than a 5 year old female? Can’t a five year old be raped the same as a 18 year old? This is pathetic. If I was that girls real dad, that guys dead meat, and I guess I go to jail. Sadly, the mother probably doesn’t even know who the real dad was!!
Absolutely true in Georgia in the early 70s.
I had a serious discussion with my girlfriend around that time to suggest that if she was raped to charge aggravated assault or some other serious charge since juries were reticent to vote guilty when death was on the line.
But I can also tell you that a rapist of a child during that time would have been on a fast track to meet Old Sparky
