Independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader accused Sen. Barack Obama, the presumed Democratic Party nominee, of downplaying poverty issues, trying to "talk white" and appealing to "white guilt" during his run for the White House.
Nader, a thorn in the Democratic Party's side since the 2000 presidential election, has taken various shots at Obama in recent days while ramping up his latest independent run for president.

The Obama campaign had only a brief response, calling the remarks disappointing.
Asked to clarify whether he thought Obama does try to "talk white," Nader said: "Of course.

Nader said he plans to travel to Denver during this summer's Democratic National Convention, hoping to highlight an alternative agenda that he thinks the party should pursue. His appearance in the city is sure to anger some Democrats who believe his presence on the ballot during the contested 2000 election cost Al Gore votes, helping Republican George Bush win the disputed election.
Nader rejects that blame, saying Democrats "scapegoated" him instead of looking at other factors that contributed to the defeat.

While BO's father was from Kenya, his father's family was mainly Arabs. His father was only 12.5% African Negro and 87.5% Arab. (His father's birth certificate states he is Arab, not African Negro).
I'll leave it to you and others to sort this out as to legitimate sources, etc. One source is as good as the other. Pick your own pew. Since Obama is purportedly half-black and half-white, why does his "birth certificate" say "African". This is not 100% true.
If his mother was white, why doesn't Barak's "birth certificate" say he is is 50% black and 50% white.....or African and American.....or African and Caucasian.....or black and Caucasian.....or whatever combo one can think of.
I'm just the messenger bringing you the ostensible Truths and Frauds being perpetuated out there in the political landscape.....however, anyone is free to believe whaterver they want about Obama's genes, including the family fraud, spin and obfuscation being perpetrated by Hussein himself who's "birth certificate" passes him off as "African" without any rebuttal from him whatsoever. His birth certificate shows no sign of his being half-white (Caucasian), either. We really have to start this retarded belief that Obama’s dad was even part “Arab.” He was a FRIGGIN LUO, who are one of the larger ethnic groups in Kenya. He was NOT EVEN REMOTELY a semite (Arab), despite what asinine internet rumor mongers would have you believe.
You have "Afro-Arabs" of mixed ancestry in places like Sudan, Chad, and Mauritania. There is not much Arab ancestry in Kenya (which is in EAST AFRICA), so this STUPID rumor about Obama has NO basis in fact.
The more we waste our time on rumors for the inbreds on Obama being an "Arab", the less time we have to actually attack him on the ISSUES.

Oh and BTW: Arabs are a semitic people. Islam is a RELIGION followed by people around the world, a minority of whom are of Arab ancestry. Barack Obama's NON-Arab Luo people are but one ethnicity that follows Islam.

It is truly sad the way Obama romanticizes the rascal and racial predator who was his father. If only Barry would read his own book he would find out that he is lying about his “goat-herding father.” Barry senior came from a prosperous and educated family; he came to America to get out of Kenya during the war of independence after his links to the murderous Mau Mau led to his arrest. Here is a family tree for Obama. I’m not an expert, but it looks pretty thorough to me. The white side of his family looks to have been researched rather exhaustively, but there is some information on his African roots as well. I don’t see an Arab connection in what is found here.

Obama isn’t from North Africa & in any case, most North Africans don’t look black. When Arabs speak of blacks in Africa, one of the terms they use is “black Africans”. As opposed to the Arab & Berber Africans of the north, who are for the most part not black.
Thanks for your comments. This has been driving me nuts as well. It seems like most people around here think all Arabs are Muslims and all Muslims are Arabs. You seem to have a good knowledge of race and ethnicity, which has manifested itself on several threads. What/where did you study?
