Cindy McCain Praises Diana as 'Inspiration'
London Times ^ | June 25, 2008 | Ben MacIntyre

The woman who wants to be the next Republican First Lady pledged today to expand her humanitarian work if she makes it into the White House, taking inspiration from the late Diana, Princess of Wales.

Speaking ahead of a political fundraiser in London tonight, Cindy McCain said that she felt "very honoured" to serve on the boad of the Halo Trust, the Anglo-American anti-landmine charity endorsed by Diana and which organised her controversial walk through an Angolan minefield in 1997, the year of her death.

Speaking to The Times, Mrs McCain said of Diana: "She was (a) great inspiration to me and to the British people as well. She was a remarkable person and had a loving heart.”

Ms McCain's London fundraiser was expected to raise at least $500,000 for her husband, John McCain, who needs every penny he can get to match the superior financial firepower of his Democratic opponent, Barack Obama.

In an interview to be published in Times2 tomorrow, Mrs McCain spoke of the problems she faces reconciling her domestic life and charity commitments with being the wife of a presidential candidate. “I won’t lie to you and say that I always enjoy the campaigning, but when the days get a little long and I get a little frustrated, I remind myself that I have a ringside seat on American history,” she said.

I ca only presume that you thought that since the poster was not impressed with Cindy that she/he was going to vote for Barr, so you decided to advance some dirt on Barr.

I suppose it would be understandable if the poster had even mentioned a word about Bob Barr being above reproach, or had even mentioned Barr at all.

Did I guess?

Those boys come from a very long line of accomplished McCain men.

I admire how low key their parents have been about their sons.

Just wow....I hope I don’t find myself sitting next to you church on Sunday ‘cause I’d have to stand up, point to you, and yell, “fraud”!

Their kids have a huge collection of pets, not into the smug life of others we have put up with over time.

I don’t believe I’ve ever accused Cindy of not having a clue, and as for the McCain family members that are in the Military, I appreciate that quite a bit actually.

I think Cindy is a bright woman. I don't think it would be workable for her to hold down a job while John was President. Not all rich women are left with nothing to do. Most of them are quite involved one way or another. There are accept ions, but I don't think Cindy just sits around waiting for something to do.

Yes, Cindy dated McCain while he was still married.

She also stole pain medications from charity boxes but her husband, the senator, got the charges dropped. Otherwise she would be a felon.

She also destroyed the life of the person who reported her.

They should not be painting her as a saint.

Please help me out with this.

Before they passed away (God rest their souls), I had a mom and a step dad...I also had a dad and a step mom.

Were my mothers sluts?

I’m just saying they’re involved because they have the time.
Has Cindy held a real job since marrying McCain? It’s a lot harder to do charity work when you’re working and raising a family. If she didn’t have the finances she does, I doubt she’d be so generous with her time....she’d be too busy earning a living. Thus, I’m not impressed with her charity.

Her Wikipedia entry contains the good, the bad, and the ugly about Cindy. She has four kids and stays pretty busy with her family business and her charity work. She doesn’t have to earn a living, but why fault her for being an heiress? She couldn’t help that any more than I can help the fact that I’m not one.

donna, my dear , there are many kids of sluts - even those whose like to trash someone on the world wide web, only because of their own sick biases - You call Cindy a slut and now Dianna -

It must suck being you - lonesome being the only perfect human being in the world and have the terrible duty to judge everyone else...

This isn't the first time you've hurled these slurs on the net. Getting a bit tiresome -
