"..Once you begin apologizing, you can never stop, and it will never be enough for some. So he has allowed himself to be put under the thumb of the preacher-pimps and race cops who make a living off the misery and discontent of the black bourgeoisie who believe it is their responsibility to decide when and how much black people should be offended by the white man's ignorance..."

Imus was an idiot to say anything regarding race.

The bigger idiot is RFDTV, that was stupid enough to give this jerk a microphone.

Karma is something that's generally understood to be deserved. Imus deserves none of this. He's been in the radio entertainment business and making people laugh with his ascerbic humor longer than some freepers have been alive. He's a new york shock jock, and not a terrible person if you've listened to him. I disagree with his politics, but find him humorous and entertaining. The "media watchdog" groups listen to every talk show host in America with headphones like the KGB waiting for them to slip-up and say something off color, and then file the appropriate lawsuits. Is that really what we want?

FREE SPEACH; you either have it our you don’t, there are no grey areas. The founders of our nation knew this and made it part of our first admendment as something that the government was not to touch. But then lawyers in black robes can ignor such things.

I am amazed at anyone caring what Imus says. Is he known as a serious, thoughtful, intelligent analyst of current events? Of course not. His whole persona is that he says offensive things. *Anyone* can be offensive for offense’s sake. He is, as Vito Corleone would say, of no account. So why do we care???

Once you begin apologizing, you can never stop, and it will never be enough for some. Exactly. Imus aside. It will NEVER be enough. Groups like LaRaza, NAACP and the Al Sharptons etc will never go away. It will always be something and will get even worse the more "multicultural" we become.

That has always been one of my favorite Larson cartoons. :)
