Dem pledges: I'll 'rip apart' child-rape victims on stand

Massachusetts politician and defense attorney Rep. James Fagan is under intense public scrutiny after he promised to "rip apart" child victims of rape who testify if the state imposes strict sentences for sex offenders.

Fagan, a Democrat, made his controversial remarks on the state House floor, Fox News reported.

"I'm gonna rip them apart," Fagan said of child victims. "I'm going to make sure that the rest of their life is ruined, that when they're 8 years old, they throw up; when they're 12 years old, they won't sleep; when they're 19 years old, they'll have nightmares and they'll never have a relationship with anybody."

As a defense attorney, Fagan said he would prevent accused child sex offenders from experiencing a "mandatory sentence of those draconian proportions."

According to the report, his statements angered both colleagues and activists.

"I thought his comments were over the top and unnecessary," said Bradley Jones, Massachusetts House minority leader. "I appreciate that he's a defense attorney, and felt he had a point to make, but I think it was unnecessary. It was excessive."

Mark Lunsford, a Florida father who lost his 9-year-old daughter after she was kidnapped, wrapped in a trash bag and buried alive by a sex offender in 2005, said he was shocked by Fagan's remarks. He told the Boston Herald that Fagan should have more respect for the rights of sexually abused children.

"Why doesn't he figure out a way to defend that child and put these kind of people away instead of trying to figure ways for defense attorneys to get around Jessica's Law?" Lunsford asked. "These are very serious crimes that nobody wants to take serious. What about the rights of these children?"

Nice guy. Reflection on the party's agenda? I'm glad I'm not a member of that party. There'd be a lot of hypocritical things I'd have to explain.

Fagan sounds like a child rapist who would murder his victim.

Excessive? Yeah, I think so. Instead of offering SOLUTIONS, this person rants like a lunatic.

It does seem that way, doesn’t it? How else could you rationally explain thinking like this?

Reflective of everything that’s wrong with this country. If you can’t win on the facts, use every means available to intimidate and/or destroy your opponent. It’s no longer an advocacy system.

Fox & FRiends are going to be talking about this. Also it appears Fr Flagher opened his mouth again. They are going to do a segment on him too.

he sounds like a grandiose drama queen. The experience of the abuse itself might produce these effects, but I doubt that watchin’ some eye-poppin’ , spit spewing, neck-vein bulging harangue by a defense attorney would.

No kidding! The passion of his assertions begs an investigation.

I’m sure his fellow Dhimmicrats would have felt a lot better if he kept that fact to himself.

and of course they would continue to ignore, even applaud, the actual courtroom deeds performed by this despicable barrister.....as long as he just doesn’t brag.

Seems evident this guy, James Fagen, has no decency, nor any care for the victims of the molestors and murderers. Our whole legal should be found guilty as partakers of his actions.

Luntford was just on fox and friends.

How he was able to contain his anger is amazing.

He was calm, and said that what Fagen was attempting to say was true, but he said it in the wrong way. It is true that defense attorneys will attempt to get their clients off however they can.

That is why Jessica's Law is so important, so that child advocates groups can help the victims of child rape to get through the court system without being destroyed.

satan is the power behind the evil of the world... the dims are just one major evil organization. This man's thoughts allow us to see the very core and soul of the dim party. ALL dims are evil... even the ones that do not realize it... because they aid and abet evil through their blind support.

I don’t know WHAT they are thinking; but I do know that the idea of doing the things he said he would do to child victims of rape would NEVER have entered MY mind if HE hasn’t said them.

Much the same way that the idea of incestuous homosexual pedophilia would never have entered my mind, if Democrat Jim Webb (now a Senator from Virginia) had not graphically described it in one of his “novels”.

My mind just isn’t sick enough I guess. But “THOSE PEOPLE” (Democrat politicians) seem to have a serious sickness, indeed.

Indeed. Dems are regressives, not "progressives". They uphold a lemming belief that breaking "taboos" is tantamount to freedom. And that "expressing" one's self is "freedom" regardless of who else might be harmed by such "expression".

And then they get into power and pass laws against "violence", free trade, the free markets, and words, and ideas they don't like.

They live perpetually in the Kingdom of Self.
