Wayyyy too close.

Yup. Just watch. As libs try to marginalize this ruling terms like "Narrowly overturned" or "barely struck down" will be commonplace.

I’m not surprised that Daley is scared. Criminals all over the USA should be scared of this decision.

and vowed to fight vigorously any challenges to Chicago's ban.

And it will not do him a bit of good. Sorry Charley. The game is over.

No it won't. However what it will do for Chicago Mayor Moron as well as other mayors in those locales who have such restrictive laws, it will allow them to use the courts (and taxpayers $$$) to delay the reversal of the prohibition of gun ownership.

I hope those who challenge the moonbats are allowed to proceed directly in Fed Court and can manage to get restraining orders prohibiting the mayors from abiding by SCOTUS decision.

Mayor Daley should understand that the Heller decision did not address the illegal carrying of weapons by drug-dealing gangbangers at all. Also, shooting and killing people on the streets remains just as illegal as it ever was.

So, cheer up, Mayor Daley. Nothing has changed for the problems of your city, except that soon the good citizens will be able to help you out.

Mayor Richard Daley... OWNED.

Mayor... sounds like you're a BIG proponent of that "living, breathing" version of the U.S. Constitution/Bill of Rights?

Now entertain us mayor... where is it in the U.S. Constitution that explicity states that abortion is legal... you know that mythical "woman's right to privacy" clause?

Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., a leading gun control advocate in Congress, criticized the ruling. “I believe the people of this great country will be less safe because of it,” she said.

When DIFI said people, I think she meant politicians.

Someone should have thrown Daley’s worthless butt off that Navy Pier when he was shooting off his mouth.

This is the same, lame “mayor” who, in the middle of the night, sent a fleet of bulldozers to carve big “X’s” in the runways at Meigs Field, an historic airport close in to Chicago, because his wife wanted a park at that location.

Pound sand, little Ritchie. You and your fellow gun-grabbing mayors lost today.

I find being unarmed in the presence of a violent criminal frightening, but I guess that’s just me.

I’ll bet the dumb ass, corrupt and frighted Mayor Daley, that ARMED CITIZENS will have a far larger impact on armed thugs in Chicago than his worthless ass law that disarmed only the law abiding citizens.

Thugs didn’t obey his laws -— they remained armed.

Now, some of these punk bastards are going to get their asses shot.

Oh — We don’t have to feed dead punks, only those we allow to achieve prisoner status.
Also - dead punks can’t testify to dispute your account of how they got shot and they can’t sue you either.

Any decision that frightens and angers Daley is clearly a good one. Too bad he’ll be spending tons of Illinois tax dollars to defend his now doomed Chicago gun ban...

An angry Mayor Richard Daley on Thursday called the Supreme Court's overturning of the Washington D.C. gun ban "a very frightening decision" and vowed to fight vigorously any challenges to Chicago's ban.

It's the citizens of Chicago who should be angry with their mayor; not only for his disdain for their constitutional right to keep and bear arms, but also for standing with the leader of an anti-America, terrorist-supporting, US soldier-murdering bunch of Marxist broads...

Yep TRG, he's a hoot when ticked off.

In other news, Dick Daley was "frightened" by the existence of the Constitution and said he was sure the country's mayors shared his sense of "outrage" that it established limited government for the country. "Who do those Justices think I am," he thundered. Its a major setback for liberals in America.

Personally I’m in favor of hanging anyone who passes a law later found to be unconstitutional. That includes Congress but especially applies to two-bit pocket despots such as Daley. I might be talked down to lengthy prison sentences, though.

Personally, I'm in favor of death by impalement for the above, but I *could* be talked down to death by hanging...
