Several reports I’ve watched and read on what goes into the production of ethanol. The amount of water needed alone results in a very high cost of production. Then, there’s the issue of the increase costs of corn due to the shortage of this crop for feed and food purposes as it is being sold for production of ethanol (because farmers can make more money selling it for that purpose as compared to what they get for feed or selling it for human consumption).
