N.C. Paratrooper Killed in Pakistan

05/15/07 -- FAYETTEVILLE) (WTVD) -- 82nd Airborne Division Paratrooper, Major Larry Bauguess of Moravian auguess graduateFalls, N.C. died from injuries sustained from enemy small arms fire in Pakistan Monday.

The 36-year-old was the operation officer for the 4th Brigade Combat Team's Special Troops Battalion.

An 82nd Airborne Division Paratrooper died from injuries sustained from enemy small arms fire, in Teri Mengel, Pakistan Monday. Maj. Larry J. Bauguess, Jr., 36, of Moravian Falls, N.C., was the Operations Officer for the 4th Brigade Combat Team's Special Troops Battalion (BSTB), 82nd Abn. Div.

Did a search and couldn't find this. I missed it when it happened last year. Maj. Bauguess was assassinated by a pakistani frontier corps soldiers as he was boarding a helicopter after a meeting.

Yeah, one of those pakistani frontier corps soldiers.

mentioned nowhere in this article is that he was assassinated. Shot in the back by a member of the Pakistani Frontier Corps as he boarded his helicopter after a liason meeting.

Fox News did a good report on this last night. Thankfully the 82nd did not arrest the murderer or advise him of his right to council. The murderer was dispatched quickly.
