Researchers in Northern California are dissecting what appears to be a rare giant squid found this week near Monterey Bay. The squid was 25 feet long and had tentacles as thick as a human leg. Researchers are fairly certain it's a giant squid, as opposed to another type of cephalopod.

All-you-can-eat Calamari for everyone!
I am sure it was all made possible by global warming.
Probably just trying to make its way to Denver in time before August, like all the other squids.
that was the Hildebeast swimming...The tentacles were mistaken for her thighs!
That’s what I was thinking! Although, if it’s like most things, a giant one probably wouldn’t taste all that good.
It won't take long for the wackos to start using that on the news. Actually, it was only there to watch the Big Sur fire.
I would bet that this little dumpling died as a result of a combination of the Santa Barbara and Valdez oil spills.
You forgot global warming...
Of course, you are most likely correct. I understand that sometime last month a human person surfer weewee'ed in the Pacific Ocean near Big Sur and it raised the temperature of the entire body of water something like -0.00008 to the power of ten trillion degrees. This was a SWAG plus or minus estimate by Al Gore I think. I am not good at math, but that sounds bad.
It sounds reasonable to me. why not add this the the list of things allegedly caused by Global Warming?

25 feet long and their only “fairly certain” it’s a giant squid? How big do they have to be before they’re SURE?
Roxanne can dive?
The article clearly states that the tentacles were as thick as a human leg.
I’m trying to imagine how big and heavy Roxanne’s weight belt would have to be.
