Lawmakers from G8 rich countries and five emerging economies including China agreed on Sunday that developed countries should pledge to cut CO2 emissions by 25-40 percent by 2020.
They said developed countries should commit to reducing by at least 60-80 percent below 1990 levels by 2050 and called on poorer countries to do their bit by taking "appropriate" national actions, in a framework being negotiated to fight global warming after 2012.
The proposal will be passed to G8 summit host Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda.

I plan on sacrificing my new Tacoma and my central air unit to the Global Warming gods today. I can’t figure out how to do this without creating more CO2. /s

These idiots. The more CO2 the greener the Earth becomes. Green plant life needs CO2 to live. The oceans needs CO2 as a recycle element.

Yasuo Fukuda. Yes, I would say that is what the global warming nutballs intend to do to us.

Does this mean all developing countries should kill 3/4’s of their population?

Where do all these signature countries to these 2012 Toyota targets stand.
As I understand, the U.S. which did not sign Toyota is ahead of their targets, while amongst the signers are only two that might reach objectives.
Stop this faking around and enforce your own rules before going on another one of these grandiose future proclamations.
And by the way China and India two exempts go on building coal fired generating plants without pollution problems except a two mile thick layer of suds the size of the U.S.A. over their countries.

Haven’t you figured it out yet? Third world status is their goal for us. That is the goal for most of our own politicians too.

The premise on which this is based is preposterous and completely void of fact, but, I wouldn’t mind more nuclear plants in this country. I don’t see the targets being met without them. No, I’m not endorsing this garbage ‘treaty’. Just looking for something positive.

The US is the only country that has placed a moratorium on offshore drilling. Now the other countries in the G8 and others are vying for leases just off of the coast of the US. This is so laughable.
