Mugabe hails his hollow victory with an oath on the Bible ... then unleashes his death squads
dailymail.co.uk ^ | June 30, 2008 | Andrew Malone

Posted on 06/29/2008 9:52:45 PM PDT by Free ThinkerNY

With pomp, ceremony and a massive dose of defiance, His Excellency Commander Robert Gabriel Mugabe was yesterday sworn in as Zimbabwe's president.

Inside the oak-panelled rooms of State House, as fighter jets roared overhead, he declared himself winner of an election in which he was the only candidate.

Even before he took the oath, he had set in motion bloody recriminations against those who worked against him.

Secret documents outlining the strategy against the opposition Movement for Democratic Change have been seen by the Mail.

They reveal that, in the runup to the polls, Mugabe had plotted to 'eliminate MDC agents' and ensure that the identity numbers of all voters were taken - so they could be found later if they voted for the opposition.

The documents are from Mugabe's Joint Operational Command, a group of military leaders tasked with ensuring he remained in power.

They state that forces are to 'kill MDC MPs' and that 'postal ballot boxes were to be stuffed in remote areas by death squads (who) have been instructed to abduct and kill whoever gets in his way'.

Mugabe has now issued a chilling warning that more violence is to come.

His election posters have been removed and replaced with signs stating: 'This is the final battle for total control.'

Of course. Mugabe will never be in control despite having "won" his election. He must now eliminate the opposition outright.

They're already on the UN Human Rights Commission, but unleashing the death squads could very well put them in position to head the commission. The UN likes nothing better than third-world dictatorships, the more brutal the better.

OK, how much money are you willing to bet on whether there will be death squads killing American civilians for opposing Obama by January 20, 2013? How much money are you wiling to bet that there will be death squads overseeing the election in November of 2012?

Obama is a Socialist, and would be a disaster, no question. But there’s a real difference between that and actual death squads.

Cannot think of one good reason 'why' this man is still alive. He has stolen, violated, abused, murdered, tortured and entire country. He signaled long ago; that as a violater and threat to humanity that he challenges and invites a 'moral Justice' of the most determined kind.

And yet. . .when do those who stand on authentic 'moral ground' - render him obsolete and powerless and/or remove this moral inversion on behalf of mankind, altogether.

Perhaps I expect too much. . .

This ain't no place for that!! Fear the Obamanation!!!

Personally I think that America will survive an Obama administration, or a McCain administration, or a Hillary administration for that matter. Might not be pleasant, might leave some scars. But I have a lot of faith in America. She's weathered worse and come out stronger in the end.

Got a feeling that this will be attempted here after January 2009. Pelosi and co. will be instituting the Fairness Doctrine in order to control talk radio. Problem is, the 1st Amendment clearly states that “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances”. Our first revolution was based on Ammendments 1 through 10. These are individual rights and are inalieable. No Government can take these away, if they do, the people have the right to disolve the existing Government and start over.

January 20, 2009. Coming to a Washington, DC near you. .......................... Won’t happen, he’d have no Army to support him as a dictator. If he ever tried that I would think there would be a Valkyrie Option for sure. We also have the 2nd Amendment which our founding fathers put in place for a reason. Too many different ethnic groups here to allow any kind of socialist/fascist type Dictatorship to exist.

The most distressing thing about this whole mess (as if one can be singled out) is that the Pope could have stopped this when Mugabe visited Rome just recently. He is his spiritual leader after all, and could have just detained him , while demanding his repentenance.

Perhaps I'm being too simplistic, but it sure seems like that could have happened pretty easily.

Not yet. . .

We know however; or should; that they are many in the world; working toward that end - by violente means or otherwise; and here in America; as surely as anywhere else the extremists smell 'defeat' or they can imagine a victory.

Would offer that CAIR is doing what it can to legally facilitate the advance of radical Islam, in our back yard; while they support those who prefer 'illegal means'.

Is it that you will believe it when you 'see it'? Or you do not believe the goals of 'radical Islam' to begin with?

Whatever the case; can only say; 'too late smart' is just that.

)So far; thanks to the mind-erasing effects of Political Correctness; and a 'hearty Left' sharing the same goals as our worst enemies; think violence will be less a necessity. We are simply handing over our Constitution to those whose greatest desire is to eliminate it.)

Radical Islam is one of the great forces of evil in the world today, I agree entirely (the environmental left being the other).

CAIR is a terrorist front group, and they are indeed working to advance radical Islam.

The Obama campaign may inadvertently further the goals of those groups (or, in the case of the environazis, not inadvertently). But I don’t think an Obama administration would seek to become a dictatorship.

I’m not saying there aren’t real concerns. I just think we should dial the rhetoric back to the “sane” setting, and try to avoid just being the mirror image of the moonbats at Kos and DU.

The solution to the problem isn’t going to come from anyone within the Western World, which has in effect written off Africa as a cesspool beyond saving. More than likely, it’s going to come from the Chinese, under the pretenses of restoring order to the country. It’ll be interesting to see what happens after the Olympics are wrapped up.

There’s far too many in this country that desire the fascistic government Obama will harken in. We had a de facto dictatorship under FDR and we still have never recovered from the damage his policies produced.

Like I said, if I'm wrong, and he doesn't turn into the totalitarian I expect him to, it won't matter. If you're wrong, and he does, it will be too late (a point to which you refuse to concede).

"You sound like a Global Warmist."

Unlike the dubious issue of Global Warming (itself a religion of the Obamaite, short of the worship of his ego), leftist totalitarian government is a proven killer.

True, although "dubious" implies there's some doubt about the Global Warming thing being completely bogus. And it's legitimate to talk about the evils of leftist totalitarianism. But to say Ubama will be using death squads is just as over the top (and distracting) as the Kostards and their Bushitler garbage.

Might be true, might not. I am a skeptic until such time evidence comes to light to sway me the other way. I'd think that's how most of us are.

"And it's legitimate to talk about the evils of leftist totalitarianism. But to say Ubama will be using death squads is just as over the top (and distracting) as the Kostards and their Bushitler garbage."

They scream that stuff at the drop of a hat, they're trained to do it like seals. It's parody. You believe what I say to be rhetorically over-the-top, that's your right. I believe the man's ideology, his associates, his supporters (both domestic and abroad), and his own ego to be why I claim that once this man is in power, he will use every means at his disposal to silence the opposition at all costs and to hold onto power as long as possible (mind you, it may be more sophisticated than Mugabe, but I believe 100% that it will be one giant leap towards totalitarianism -- and there are enough people in this country that will not hesistate to support him in his goals). Once in, it may require non-democratic means to get him out. A serious candidate for the Presidency without precedence for the danger they pose to the Republic.

I just think we should dial the rhetoric back to the “sane” setting, and try to avoid just being the mirror image of the moonbats at Kos and DU.

What path is being prepared here, FOR America? Clearly, 'The Road to Serfdom' is being paved. . . The promise of the Democrat 'Left' s embedded with very real threats. . Perhaps not one too far removed from a ‘dictatorship’ (now that would be a dream come true for the hard-core). But whatever level of control; too Americans are peacefully; ignorantly handing themselves over. Unwittingly, of course; by just by being dumbed-down and 'nannytized' or just broken into a poverty or weakened by Democrat inspired 'crisis'. . .

That said, Obama does invite Messianic comparisons. Does Obama secretly hear the chant of 'Dear Leader'; only he knows; but we have a painful and ugly history of such grandiosity.

Inadvertence notwithstanding; Obama offers a tidy package for Totalitarians of all persuasions. No matter under which banner they gather; they all share the hate; ideological; racial and historical. They share the same starting point of ‘victimology’ as motive and justification for a ‘Just Vengeance’. Obama’s Black Liberation Theology makes this a ‘spiritual path’. . .and its course is so marked by this in-name-only, Christianity. Obama has a convenience of theology which serves him well.)

As to our voice in this..whether, Kos or DU; we know the Left is never contained or restrained by Reason or Logic or 'moral parameters' or by ANY Rules of Engagement. Their discourse is made even more painful and embarrassing by the sheer hatred that animates it's contributors. ALL TO SAY - There is no rhetorical comparison here!

We have only to do a quick scan of the latest news content to see that there is more to fear here; than just ‘fear’ itself. Rather than lowering voice to sane level. . .I want to scream 'fire!'. Because America is 'burning'; beyond California; our Country IS being compromised in the worst way; by those who, by their 'totalitarian lights' gather and threaten, Everyman's Freedom and his pursuit of happiness as it should/could be. And no matter HOW we 'talk the talk'; those ‘Left’ – little dictators all - will want to silence our voice.

(We can surely appreciate the latest efforts of Obama’s team ‘Left’; to attempt their intimidation into silence, Jim Robinson and the posters at Free Republic as just recently reported by the Washington Post.)
