It is a crisis. Every day I see reports of global stupidity levels rising.
This problem cannot be solved by mere intellectual “offset” credits.
They’re just displaying their patriotism.
We just have to figure for what country.
Thank goodness you joined FR to save us with your philosophy . There are NO unimportant jobs in the military . You either did your duty , that which is owed , or you didn’t . Nobody needs you to declare anybody a hero .

I’ve heard readings of transcipts of what the men with McCain suffered and did while in captivity.
Hand making their own American flag to continue their loyalty to this country, an action that cause further beatings for one of the men and yet he made another flag for the group.
An elaborate code system by which they communicated (one of the men could hear radio broadcasts and shared news).
If I recall, McCain was offered an opportunity to leave but he was not permitted to take the other men with him so he declined.
If the Code Pinko’s headline quote can be taken on its face value, if NO US servicemen were “heroes” in Vietnam, and we know about the “war criminals”, is it a stretch to tie the Left’s rhetoric together and think that maybe they believe that McCain and the others DESERVED the torture they received at the hands of the North Vietnamese Communists?
It was not that the Left thought that we were wrong to intervene in a civil war. The Communists on the Left wanted a North Vietnamese Communist VICTORY over South Vietnam. Jane Fonda said we’d ALL hope to live under Communism if we were only bright enough to understand what it was.

It's quite simple, really. Kerry was in VietNam. He was not a hero. Ergo, not everyone who goes in-country is a hero.
