Is Bill Clinton still fuming over the outcome of the primary contests?
Although he has yet to pick up the phone when Barack Obama calls, a close associate said Sunday that the former President is ready to make nice this week.
"This man doesn't stay mad," said former Democratic National Committee Chairman Terry McAuliffe, although there are a few anger issues hanging around. For Clinton, it's not all about him, definitely not, McAuliffe said on CNN's "Late Edition."
"Is he somewhat angry, as I am, and others, at some of the treatment Hillary Clinton received from the press? Sure. But, you know, that's life," McAuliffe said.
Clinton went off to Europe only to chill out in deference to Hillary Clinton, who made her first campaign appearance with Obama last Friday in Unity, N.H., McAuliffe said.
"What I think they wanted to do was, first of all, go through the event on Friday, the Unity event," McAuliffe said. "It was up to Hillary. As Bill Clinton will say, she is the political leader of their family."
McAuliffe said he spoke with Bill Clinton Sunday and the former President would be ready for an Obama phone call within 24 to 48 hours.
Obama was still smarting over Bill Clinton's charges that his campaign was out to "slime" Hillary, and Bubba was livid over the Obama campaign's slam that he had tried to play the "race card" in the primaries. But "they'll talk, and off we will go" to campaign for the fall with no hard feelings, McAuliffe said, with Bill Clinton expected to focus on congressional races.
In an online poll by blogger Marc Ambinder, more than 75% of 2,292 respondents said that Obama should ask Bill Clinton politely for help, and if Clinton says no, Obama should ignore him

Bill Clinton prepares to mend fences with Barack Obama I would love for this to mean that we will be seeing these two down on our southern border helping to build the wall.

Bill Clinton doesn’t stay mad? Does Hillary? I thought the Clintons were known for holding grudges against people. And using secret files to intimidate people, among other tactics.

Actually, I'd like to see Obama too busy to meet with Clinton. Clinton is a relic. He's done. He's jumped the shark, and nobody really cares what he does any more, except the media.
If Clinton makes a reconciliation statement, Obama should ignore it.
Let the media and Clinton go have a love fest together.

Good for them. A little physical labor is good for the body AND the soul.
I’ve got a couple sections that need re-working on MY property, if they’re looking for a place to start...
What? That’s NOT what they meant? Oh, sorry.

Good fences make good neighbors. And I’m sure Clinton would want a good, strong fence to keep those uppity black people from his property anyway.

Is McAuliffe doing standup these days.
Unbelivable.
For Clinton it is not about him?!!!
It is always and only about him.
Bubba does not stay mad!!!
Sure that is why Purple Rage is his favorite color and he needs a fork lift to move his enemies list around.

Clinton was bad news for the Hillary campaign - and he
loves her.
He doesn't love Obama
- to say the least.
So what would Bill's "help" be like for Obama? Obama should ask Al Gore.
Gore worked with Clinton for years - and was smart enough to reject his help.

I certainly hope Obama does not pick Hillary as his VP. Having the Clinton's around every day in the news is more than I can bear.

I think you know that the PolitiFact site Amy Hollifield article says she spoke to an agent of the State of Hawaii and was told that the BC was authentic. We later hear that this was not true, which puts INTO QUESTION THE ACCURACY OF THAT SITE. My question is the imprint of the seal on the back of the Daily Kos document? What does that mean? If someone took a digital photo of the document then it would not have the seal? Or does the seal indicate that the document could be original. I guess I'm confused. REgarding the discrepancy between the two. It could be that there are more than one of these BC floating around out there. LIKE I'VE SAID MANY TIMES. AT THIS POINT OBAMA NEEDS TO: 1. Release a copy of his original birth certificate 2. Release of the hospital birth records 3. Release an original copy of the State of Hawaii issued BC, (an official copy of the one he's posted on his website.) I think most of here would ask for the same scrutiny of any candidate repub or dem. I think that we're not asking much here, and I'm amazed that no one from the MSM is pushing this, and that Obama has not been honest and forthright about it either.
