Energy: A free Iraq has invited foreign oil companies to bid on its massive oil fields. Why do Democratic senators want the U.S. to thwart the will of the people in the country we liberated?
Baghdad has invited foreign oil firms to bid on contracts to increase production in eight lagging oil fields.
Thanks to our liberation of that country, which cost the U.S. and Iraq so much in lives and resources, Baghdad is now able to begin to make full use of its oil reserves of as much as 112.5 billion barrels after Saudi Arabia, the largest petroleum deposit in the world.
But Iraq needs private companies because they have the kind of know-how and resources the country needs to rebuild its energy infrastructure and revive oil production after suffering under Saddam Hussein for so long. Baghdad's goal is to improve output from the current 2.5 million barrels a day to 4.5 million barrels by 2013.

Imagine if we had a Free and Open press rather than the Establishment Scribes we are stuck with.
If you like $5/gal, Thank Congress. If you want $10, Vote Obama.
Pray for W and Our Troops
More rope-a-dope from the DemLeft.
If we tell Iraq what to do with their oil, it confirms that they are our vassal, and that we’ve stolen their oil. The very same Dems criticizing us for letting them do what they like will be first in line to criticize us if we tell them what to do.
They’re going to criticize us either way we go. They just wait to see which way we go in order to take the opposing side. They are shape-shifters. They believe in nothing, they fill whatever space is left after we’ve made our judgements and started to act.
The opinion of a shape-shifter is valueless. Its not an opinion, its just a space-holder for an opinion they don’t have. Its only purpose is to oppose you. Its you they’re against, not anything you think or do.

Wow. Do you know... this is the first time I've ever heard it put that way? I kind of feel like slapping myself on the forehead right now and yelling "DUH!!" because honestly, so many times I've thought "What the hell is the matter with them? Half the time they're contradicting themselves, they make no sense, they claim views they'd never live by... why?"
Now I look at what you wrote and it's positively Ayn Randian (which I hope you take as a compliment, because that's how it's intended.)

You’re right! Just a few years ago the libs were yelling that we were taking over a foreign country for their oil. “No blood for oil” they screeched. Now that we’re keeping our promise to the Iraqis that they would be in charge of their own country, the libs are yelling that WE WANT THEIR OIL! Hypocrits!

“The issue is never the issue. The issue is only how to support the revolution.”
In other words, for the left, issues are only the means to bring down the United States.
What ever it is...I'm against it!
