This Obama qoute shows again that he (Obama) has little knowledge or understanding of America, its founders or the principles that America was founded on.
NOWHERE does the Constitution indicate that everyone gets treated with dignity and respect. All men are created equal. It does not state that they stay equal or should forever be considered equal. Actions that a man may take change the level of equality he has. If you tend to go around stabbing people to death you will be treated differently then most others. You will be locked in prison. No one will respect ypu. You will lack dignity. No where does it say that I or anyone else must show every other citizen respect or treat them with diginty. You are treated with dignity if you live a life that deserves you to be treted with dignity. You are shown respect if you earn respect.
As to the issue of homosexual activty that Obama was speaking to. Our founders would be hanging those convicted of sodomy and the rest tarred and feathered or placed in stocks.
So Obama trying to indicate that our founders wanted Homosexuals treated with respect and diginty or that it is inherent in the Constitutiona and our laws is silly at best and just pandering at worst.....

Yep! Thanks for the correction. A $ 3 dollar bill is really queer,sorta describes the situation well. When the Constitution was written, those $3 dollar bill types would have been tarred and feathered and run outa town ridin backward on a jackass.....O well! The Constitution specifically says “ All men are created equal”, then they get all the chances in the world to screw themselves up! Some really do:-P
