People make bad choices not because they are poor, but because for whatever reason they don’t have the ability to make better choices. Moving those people to “nicer” homes doesn’t improve their ability to make better choices.

And, our society has decided to take the bad consequences that go along with bad choices away, thus, you can make bad choices all day long and still eat, have a roof over your head and probably enough $$ to find drugs.

We routinely subsidize the birth of even more children into poverty all the whilte spending billions to try to lift children out of poverty.
