I noted on Intrade that Romney VP bid and ask had gone up, so did a blog search to see if there was an explanation. This article came up, maybe it is the reason, I don't know. Beware, the site features a lot of graphics of nubile and pulchritudinous co-eds.

I really don’t think Romney will be the VP for the Straight Talk Express.

Romney will bring a lot of energy into the campaign. I also think he'll not only straighten McCain out on a lot of things, but he'll also pep up the old boy.

My prediction is that Romney will be a magnificent campaigner on the trail and he'll do the Republican party really proud.

The duo will turn out to be a surprisingly good pair and will reinvigorate the conservatives.

Spare me the same old, same old anti-McCain, anti-Romney blather.....we all know it by heart. Besides, my reasoned prediction is as good as anyone else's, and probably better than most, heheh.

Gee, I didn’t know I was one of the “staggeringly wealthy Mormon community.” Nice to know.

If he needed Romney’s money and was seriously considering him, he would have named him VP by now. What’s the hold up? He doesn’t want Romney.

I don’t like the idea. I don’t think Romney is a man of much conviction. He ran as two different people in his campaigns in Mass and his campaign for the presidency. The Mitt who ran in Mass was a pro-gay, anti-gun, not opposed to abortion candidate. The Mitt who ran for president was a very different man indeed.

Sen. John McCain will choose businessman and former Massachusetts Governor, Mitt Romney as Vice President, in his bid for the White House this November, a source closely connected with the McCain campaign, who asked to remain anonymous, told us earlier this afternoon.

I believe this is a lie. The money factor is overrated, and the political suicide McCain would endure by selecting a Massachusetts liberal for the VP slot is underrated. McCain and his people must know this. Romney won't happen. False alarm, nothing to see here.

Im not sure about this. Does Romney really doesnt bring anything to the campaign? I dont have a problem with him and would have voted for him. He is certainly head and shoulders above the con artist Huckster.

I would rather Romney take Kennedy’s seat, but this news will be very good indeed.

Well, if he does its his worst decision ever, and yes I’m including his pandering on Global Warming. The guy who’s ineptitude brought us Gay marriage as VP... stupid.

Why not, this whole race has been the stupid year for the GOP why destroy a trend when you are on a role!

Those GOP voters that are considering holding their nose to vote for McCain because they fear Obama stay home, especially the south (Bible Belt, get a clue GOP).

You do not place a serious conservative with McCain you up your chance for a very great chance for a huge loss since your base is already pissed at you....follow the money.

Rumor: McCain Has Chosen Romney As VP

Actually, it seems the McCain campaign has thrown this story out there to gauge the response ... probably from conservatives.
