Bush will be the featured guest at a July 18 fundraising luncheon at the River Oaks home of former energy pipeline executive Dan Tutcher, according to an invitation sent to potential donors.

LOL!!! God ol'liberal Houston Chronicle! Notice they mention who Bush is trying to raise money to campaign against -- a Democrat -- but don't mention the Republican who is having the fund raiser.

He’d help him more by just raising the money in private and staying home.

There are some Americans who, remembering 9/11 and considering the dearth of recent terrorist attacks on our soil, still feel like our President is doing a good job.

There'll be enough of those on-hand in Houston to raise plenty of money for the Texas GOP.

This will make about $8.75 for the RNC.

Look at Bush’s ratings - the lowest in history for any President. Look at Congress’ ratings - also abyssmally low.

Look at the economy.

Look at the polling data for a no-account, nobody socialist from Illinois with an Islamic sounding name whose only mantra is “Change” and compare them with the polling data for a genuine American hero running against him.

Unfortunately or not, the rest of America isn’t Texas - and I’m sure there a passel of Texans who have had it with hot and cold running illegal aliens swarming across their borders, courtesy of Jorge El Segundo.

You dropped a few zeros off of that.

Just getting into the event will cost a minimum of $5000.

About 300 miles south of it now.

Don’t live there. Would contribute to the Republican and cote for him, but have no great need to see Bush at all.

He should visit Ramos and Compean.

Read my post again. Sometimes I'm too subtle for my own good.

There are a great many Houston Republicans that love President Bush. He is very welcome here, more so than even John McCain.

It’s getting hard to even visit Free Republic any more, and the replies to this post are a good example why.

What negative nonsense.

We’ve had a President who has led us through 8 very difficult years, bad guys around the globe plotting to do us in, Dems still angry over losing in 2000, narcissitic Congress without backbone enough to harvest black gold from a wilderness, and a dumbed-down society that has no sense of history.

Yet, until the last few months, we’ve enjoyed a spectacular economy and relative peace — God bless our troops who’ve deflected terrorist intentions while we live safe.

Believe it or not, the Presidency isn’t a job with a magic wand, and there’s just so much any one man can do. And no President has been or ever will be perfect.

Some of you will be bellyaching in heaven.

So shut up your griping and realize that if you don’t get up off your butts and start fighting, you’re going to let the ignorant masses put a Marxist in the White House come January.

Help Bush instead of being a dead weight. Support GOP congressional candidates. Be a part of the solution, OK?
