Loved the last line about infiltrating the top Council of 7. Great disinformation - they will start turning on themselves and disrupt the entire organization.

This was a brilliant plan! And it was carried off perfectly.
Can you imagine the hostages’ faces on the helicopter when the rescuers revealed who they were?

I read a great detail somewhere: the military, when they were impersonating the lefties, were wearing Che t-shirts! I love it!

Colombian commandos posing as fellow rebels apparently tricked the FARC captors into handing over the hostages into their custody...I believe the proper Spanish term is "Cojones".

LOL! Obama was my first thought, too. I’m sure some wit in the Colombian government actually was making a reference to that famous Obama/Che connection. There are many Latin Americans who see Obama for exactly the dangerous potential leftist dictator that he is, and they also know he would do everything to undermine the stable non-socialist countries that have managed to hang on down there.

Hugo Chavez finally has a reason to be paranoid.
I love this spy stuff. reminds me of the days before Clinton and the Libs neutered the CIA.

Let’s see if the American media mention the fact that the FARC are a leftist terrorist group, supported by Hugo Chavez.
