You will REALLY enjoy this 2-minute clip. Great little short mini-documentary showing the release yesterday of the Colombian and American hostages who had been kidnapped years ago by pro-Communist, pro-Che Guevara FARC guerillas.
The former Presidential Candidate, (female), lead hostage and one of the main speakers on the airport tarmac, profusely thanks the pro-US President Uribe, and then, rolling her eyes still in disbelief, says she was "amazed by the BRILLIANCE of the Army of Colombia" in their plan to seize the hostages, faking as if they were leftists rebels themselves.
Another of the liberated, a man, shouts, LONG LIVE LIBERTY! and his appreciation to the pro-US Colombian military is proclaimed.
Just hit the little arrow

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY EVERYONE.
Thanks for the post. Chills and tears here.
Three good pieces of news.
Three Americans safely returned.
Now we need to infiltrate our own govt. where marxist leftists have this nation held hostage and in bondage.
This morning I heard someone suggest McCain might have had a part in this? Apparently he went down to Columbia in the last two weeks, and people thought that was a silly thing for him to do.
Has anybody else heard of a McCain connection here?
And I will join you with both hands raised up, shouting “Bienvenidos a LIBERTAD!”
Yes. It was discussed. And dismissed.
Applauding the ‘BRILLIANCE of the Army of Colombia’. GOD Bless them.
U.S. Republican presidential candidate John McCain, who had been visiting Colombia, was informed about the successful rescue operation while en route to Mexico from Colombia.Doesn't sound like McCain had anything to do with it, just lucky to be there where the news was. But I don't know what news to trust.A spokesman told reporters on McCain's plane that on Tuesday night, Uribe and his defense minister pulled aside McCain and the two senators traveling with him to inform them of the rescue operation that was planned for Wednesday. The three had not learned about the success of the operation before leaving Colombia.
Agreed, but many are deply embedded in the MSM and in the universities.
McCain may have known..or was possibly informed just prior/during the op. We may never know McCain is tight lipped about these things...and rightly so.
Its safe to assume that none of the vile lowlife scumbag RATS knew ahead of time. They would have gladly seen the Americans and all the hostages off’d rather than have a successful op.
I agree 100%...I would add -- we need to infiltrate the MSM because there-in lies the power...
Obama used this wonderful accomplishment to promote some bull about negotiations, blah blah blah.
Guess his biggest fear was that a single terrorist might have been killed in a rescue attempt.
It’s way past time for Free trade with Colombia. Somebody please tell Nancy Pelosi....
Did Hannibal put the plan together?
Pro-US Uribe and Columbia. Probably our strongest ally in the region and the Reid/Pelosi Marxists are trying their damndest to undermine that government.
Freedom Bump!
Three of these hostages were employees of my former employer - Northrop Grumman. They were held for about five years.
Kudos to Colombia and President Uribe, they are our closest ally in South America and it’s time Pelosi, Reid and the other RATS realize it.
Maybe Rush and a few other conservative biggies can buy out a major network like CBS for starters.
Prolly didn’t want to risk waiting until McCain is sworn in like Iran did with Reagan.
Colombia says rescues Betancourt, 3 U.S. hostages (hurrah for McCain!)
