With laws becoming harder and harder against criminals, you had to know that the left would find a new way to help them out. Make no doubt about it, they'll find a way to eliminate victim's rights.
What about her first amendment rights to accurately state the events as they happened?
And besides, hasn't any rapist ever been aquitted before? So apparently these words aren't as 'loaded' as stated. It's idiocy.

SO, WHAT WORDS ARE “ALLOWED”?......
prosecutor: Your honor, this man, oops! er, person, allegedly did rape, oops! er, did something to this woman, oops!, er, person, that that person did not like, and is allegedly against the laws of this state....

We should apparently ban the word “judge” from this judge’s courtroom.
This person is not qualified to be a jusdge.

According to Dan Rather, rape should not be mentioned
because it is a man's personal sex life.

It may cost me a few days in jail, but were I a witness I’d use the word RAPE loudly, clearly, and often during my time on the stand.

He had sexual intercourse with her. That’s the allowed word.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Bowen met Safi at a Lincoln bar on Oct. 30, 2004. It is undisputed that they shared some drinks, and witnesses saw them leaving together. Bowen claims not to have left willingly and has no memory of the rest of that night. She claims to have woken up naked the next morning with Safi atop her, “having sexual intercourse with her.” When she asked him to stop, he did.^^^^^^^^^^^^
It’s completely bass ackwards. It’s political correctness on a whole new level.

This is a very Orwellian way of reducing criminal convictions and therefore reducing crime statistics. It is much more difficult to prosecute crimes if you prohibit words with criminal connotations in the courtroom.
To: Halfmanhalfamazing
Back in the day you couldn’t say ‘rape’ on the air. The newsies would report that a woman had been beaten, stabbed, shoved down a flight of stairs and suffered bruises, broken bones and lacerations, but she hadn’t been ‘criminally assaulted’!

"According to the Bill clinton logic it would be Your Honor this man did not have forcable sexual relatons with that woman." Yeah, but the only way that works is you have to wag your bony finger when you say it. The wagging the finger part shows great sincerity. It also helps if you bite your lower lip and say "Ahh feel yer pain".
If all that doesn't work, then you better put some ice on it.

If I were Tory Bowenl, I would take the witness stand and I would blurt out to the court and jury that this scumbag “had raped me” and let the moonbat judge sputter and have a little conniption fit and then I would challenge him to hold me in contempt—”the same contempt I hold toward you, your honor for attempting to deny me my right to testify truthfully against my attacker!”

Ummm.. When the victim was testifying? Yes . In the prosecution of a rape case when victim is testifying , she is a witness , and the court allowed the use of the words "and then he raped me" . That is my request .

Rape should be renamed ‘rather’ in honor of Dan Rather.

Reminds me of a joke I heard about 40 years ago about a man who had been barred by a judge to speak a particular word, on penalty of the electric chair. We’ll pretend the word is “rape” because it works in the context of the punch line of the joke.
When asked to describe what happened...
“His pants were down, below his knees.
His bs**s were blowin’ in the breeze.
His you know what was you know where.
And if that ain’t rape I’ll take the chair!”

Bowen claims not to have left willingly and has no memory of the rest of that night. She claims to have woken up naked the next morning with Safi atop her, "having sexual intercourse with her." When she asked him to stop, he did. She went home drunk with a strange man, and now claims the encounter was not consensual.
Maybe it was sexual assault; maybe it was buyer's remorse. These types of cases go both ways.
Maybe it is wise to avoid prejudicing the jury by allowing the alleged victim to scream "RAPE".

And since there was no rape, it’s okay to publish the victim’s picture in the paper.
