I saw this today in my local Jersey Jewish weekly. I think it's an indication that the Jewish vote won't be quite so automatic this year as some Dims might hope.

Although I automatically support Israel, I still have good reason for doing so: when the extremist Muslims have finished with the Jews, they will come for me, so I will join with Israel to stop them before they succeed in their campaign to destroy the Jewish state.

In the next few months, Israel may be the prime mover in anti-extremist, anti-terrorist policy for the civilized west.
