Amazing. As a die-hard Giants fan I hate Tommy Lasorda a little bit less now than I did before the day began. :)
Tommy’s a class act. I remember that he was one of the few celebrities that took a stand in favor of allowing Elian Gonzalez to stay in the United States. In his speech on the issue, he addressed the EVILS of communism. This son of Norristown will always be good people in my book.
Figures. The site is “off-line” right now. I’m not sure what Tommy Lasorda says, but if it has something to do with support for our troops then I will be forced to change my opinion of him somewhat (being that I’m a Giant’s fan).
Tommy is the real deal. A little bit of a blowhard but straight ahead and full of heart.
Tommy’s old enough to remember tough times. That’s the difference between his generation and the rest of us. We are about to lose the last of those guys. We’ll be completely unteethered then.
Oh well, I guess we can have our own great depression and re-learn everything.
