A Greenwood man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after allegedly giving a postal employee a Bible with a pornographic picture in it, along with a letter inviting the worker to come to his house and watch pornographic movies.
Greenwood Police arrested Prince Woodrow Quarles, 44, of 102-C Pinetree Apartments, and charged him with lewd conduct.
According to police reports, officer Daniel Watt responded to the U.S. Post Office on Northcreek Boulevard just after 1 p.m. Wednesday. He made contact with the victim, a 29-year-old woman.
The woman said Quarles had been coming into the post office regularly for some time. She said he had been in earlier Wednesday. Then, just after 1 p.m., he reportedly came back in to mail a letter.
After Quarles mailed the letter, he reportedly handed the woman a Bible and said, Theres something inside it for you.
The victim opened the Bible, allegedly finding a picture of a topless woman and a letter inside. The letter also had what Watt described as an unidentified liquid substance on it.
The letter reportedly invited the woman to Quarles house and said he has many sex DVDs and that he loves to have sex.
The woman described Quarles for the officers and noted she wanted him put on trespass notice for the post office.
Officer Michael Dixon caught up with Quarles near Greenwood Mall. Quarles reportedly told Dixon he had been to the post office and that he wanted to get a job there.
Quarles allegedly said he gave the woman the letter because he wanted her to know he had the pornographic movies. He said the liquid substance was glue used to attach the photo of the topless woman to the letter.
Furthermore, Quarles reportedly said he put the photo in with the letter because, everyone has seen a naked woman and he didnt think it was a big deal.
Quarles was arrested and taken to Greenwood County Detention Center.
SC ping!

What a creep.
Really.
A picture of a topless woman considered Pornographic?
In the ‘old’ days one may think that the Porn charge was added as a ‘bargaining chip’ but in today’s world hard to imagine what is on sheeples’ minds.
How about gas pumps with signs posted that your 15 year old can’t put gas in your car, but your 13 year old can have an abortion and it isn’t (supposed to be) any of your business....
We are getting sicker by the day....
* the pervert formerly known as Prince
HHHmmnnn!!!
He’s a prince.
DANG!!
Can’t a brother get a date??
This Casanova sure knows how to win a young girl’s heart, doesn’t he?
You just don’t screw around at a post office. My dad worked at one for 35-odd years...and as he said...unless you were out on the rural route....thats just about the only place where you could do some crazy stuff. These are federal charges...so the guy will do a few months to a few years...in prison. If he had done this on the street...maybe two weeks in the county jail and some rehab.
Do you know that right up until 1968 there were no topless women in any Hollywood movies shown in America? The boomers brought porn to the movies.
Remember back in the “Leave it to Beaver” days that IF they showed adults in a bedroom there were twin beds or you wouldn’t see them in bed together or if they were they were in a position where it would be “Impossible” for them to supposedly be doing anything.
I think Lucy & Ricky broke that mold.....
Here’s a suggestion to all: stay away from men with first names such as Prince. They may have elevated sense of entitlement.
No, I remember Lucy and Ricky having separate beds.
All of them?
Yeah, did a little mild research and the consensus seems to be “Bewitched” and the “Munsters” in 1964.
Just a thought, but maybe the fact that Elizabeth Montgomery’s husband was the director (or something) may have had something to do with it????
There was also a show in the late 40’s that I did not recognize but they did mention Fred and Ethel ‘experimenting’ during a segment when a train kept waking them up...
The whole thing wasn’t a ‘big deal’ until 1951 when the Legion of Decency etal forbade such shenigans....
Lemme guess... he put the picture in right before Song of Solomon.
