Chicago police will be out in greater numbers for tonight’s Navy Pier fireworks show after four people were shot last night as crowds streamed out of the Grant Park fireworks and Taste of Chicago.

The shootings happened blocks away from the Taste grounds as hundreds of thousands of people headed home.

Chicago Police Superintendent Jody Weis, has ordered a heightened police presence for tonight’s Navy Pier fireworks show after four people were shot last night as crowds streamed out of the Grant Park fireworks and Taste of Chicago.

“We’re going to have an even greater police presence” tonight, Police Supt. Jody Weis announced this afternoon. “We’ll have both uniformed officers and officers in a covert status that will mingle with the crowd and provide even greater security.”

Less than two weeks after Chicago Mayor Dick Daley almost blew an aorta fuming at the Supreme Cout finding that Americans have a right to keep and bear arms to protect themselves from violent attack and vowing to fight the Supreme Court from invalidating Chicago's ban on gun ownership, we had four shot with one of them killed at perhaps the largest downtown gathering all year long.

Daley continues to maintain that there is a GUN BAN in Chicago, and with this ban in place, guns are simply not allowed. So we ask: If your gun ban is there and bans do anything to prevent whatever they are supposed to prevent, how could this have happened. I think someone's lying to us--or too stupid to know the difference.

Second, if the police are there to protect us (remember please that Daley and his family enjoy a 24/7 armed police security detail paid for by taxpayers but "ordinary" citizens who pay for Daley's police guard allowing him to cower behind their protection and shoot his mouth off at the same time, cannot anjoy armed protection)and guns are not NEEDED to protect us, why didn't the Chicago Police Department prevent this from happening?

Daley continues to ignore calls for him to dismiss his armed security detail and send them back to protecting ALL of the citizens of Chicago, not just one family.

See, that was my first reaction as well. This MUST be some brilliantly produced hoax (like the first lunar landing) done on a sound stage in the western suburbs by a group of conservatives looking to discredit Daley. The supposedly dead teenager has actually been put into the federal witness protection program. His family, thinking he is dead is grieving needlessly because he’s not really dead because he was’t really shot becasue there is a gun ban in Chicago and shootings cannot happen in a city with a gun ban. One of the wounded kids that WGN-TV’s Marcella Raymond interviewed live this morning is an actor with a fake cast on his arm where the bullet that wasn’t fired from a gun because there is a gun ban didn’t hit him.

All of the news video shown with citizens cowering between police cars last night to keep from getting hit in the crossfire was actually staged and didn’t really happen. The shell casings in the street were put there by the conspirators. No guns were even there, so none were fired, and the entire thing is a hoax.

We are near a tipping point.
