Thrilling rescue. Fantastic. My heart melts everytime I see Ingrid Betancourt and her children shown with her after her rescue. You cannot be a parent and not be emotionally touched by those pictures.

They got out, that’s great. But the way the Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia – Ejército del Pueblo (FARC) troops were just standing around tends to make me suspicious that it was just a payoff, not a "daring rescue."
Time will tell.
