The racism is within the black community.

I've come to the conclusion that black people are, in general, a LOT more racist than whites. I get an incredible amount of negative waves from a lot of them I deal with, and I'm as pleasant, positive, neutral and friendly as I can be to everyone I meet.

Kabar - I own one of your products. Great knife. :-)

Out of the blue, he was cursing and saying how much he hates white people and when Obama is elected white people will get what they deserve.

I do believe that is the 'change' of which Obama speaks. And that is the 'hope' of many who are planning to vote for him. Not only do they expect to get so-called reparations (because some of their ancestors were sold by some of their other ancestors into slavery) but they seem to expect that whites will have to 'go to the back of the bus' both literally and figuratively.

I think also that some whites will vote for him to assuage their (ancestral) guilt, but others, like 3 of my socialist siblings, hate Bush so much that Obama will bring about the 'change' they desire. They see McCain, even though he is a 'reach-across-the-aisle Maverick', as a continuation of the Bush administration.

“I’ve come to the conclusion that black people are, in general, a LOT more racist than whites. I get an incredible amount of negative waves from a lot of them I deal with”

One of the great truths in today’s world, that nobody wants to take on or admit. Further, when black racism is shown, it is almost always “accepted” due to past race history. The truth of the matter is that it is because of poor family upbringing and the natural lack of courtesy and values. This is fostered throughout life by a “white-guilt” media and a government that gains political power by ensuring more black dependence on the state.

“Obama’s candidacy is a test...”

If it is, I hope he flunks it - totally.

I fear not though. If that be the case, perhaps history will regard “the American test” as the one that failed....

“Republicans will vote for the Republican candidate. Democrats will vote for the Democrat candidate and some will vote for the Republican candidate. Independents will lean to McCain who already has independent credentials whereas Obama is a liberal and not even close to the center.”

That has worked in the past ONLY because race hasn’t been _the_ primary issue in the contest.
This time around, it’s going to be different.

Fearless prediction:
Obama will garner at least 95-96% of “the black vote”. Possibly even more.

Fearless prediction:
Obama will win at least 30-40% of the votes of “registered Republican” blacks. Perhaps more than 50%. These numbers, in particular, are going to shock a lot of folks (though it’s also likely that black Republicans will resort to their own version of “the Bradley effect” regarding their votes).

Fearless prediction:
Obama will win even some votes from blacks who are members of Free Republic. Perhaps not too large a percentage, but then again, could be surprising.

When you think of the black voting population as a whole, the percentage of black Republicans is so small that losing half of those votes to Obama is insignificant when you compare it to the Democrat voters who will vote for McCain either because Obama is black or he's Muslim/Black Liberation follower or their pissed because Hillary lost.

I think Obama can bring new black voters that have never voted to the polls but in states like Georgia where there is a high black population and 90+ percent vote Dem the states still are blow out wins for Republicans.

I think where the difference will be seen is in states like California and New York and even Massachusetts where, while McCain probably wont win he'll make it way closer than Republicans usually do,and this is a result of the Dem candidate.

A candidate's skin color has nothing to do with how I personally feel about how I'd vote, It's all about what's in their gray cells.. And in my opinion Obama has socialism written deep into his gray cells. I would vote for a Black candidate if he/she was a true conservative with a high moral value character intact.

He is white. 50% white (mother) and US Census classified American Arabs as white. He is only 6% Black.

Well, that takes a load off my mind. I'll actually be voting against a white guy I disagree with and think is a leftist extremist. Now I'll be able to live with myself.

It was Ferraro who said that Obama wouldn't be where he is if he were white and she was excoriated.

An honest liberal? Perish the thought!

Obama is - quite simply - a simpleton.

But a well spoken attractive simpleton. That alone will get him at least half the female vote! < /sarc >

Of course being a black dumbass and someone with no experience should not prevent him from being elected.

For me — and many folks I know — this race IS NOT about
RACE: It’s about the continuing struggle between an elitist dominated and operated SOCIALISM and the system of PRIVATE PROPERTY and INDIVIDUAL FREEDOMS the Founders ATTEMPTED to leave us (and far too many of us are prepred to hurl overboard for the alleged security of the nanny state).

If a Herman Cain, Thomas Sowell or Walter Williams were running against a white socialist, any of the first 3 would have my full support.

“People get the government they deserve.” Joseph deMaistre.

And when people become THIS freaking STUPID and inattentive to their freedoms, THIS is the candidate they deserve.

1 minute satirical Obama video here:

Hurry before some diversity loving (RIGHT!) Obamaniac at YouTube pulls it.

“Nothing. He hasn’t done anything at all.”

Precisely. Even the bigots I know are voting for Obama, because the ‘Republicans have run this country into the ground’. That’s why I don’t give a whole lot of credence to Obama’s whine about people not voting for him because of his ethnicity. The fact of the matter is - they are.

None of these people will acknowledge the fact that both parties are culpable somewhere at some point for some things.

" ... If anything, the MSM would label us all knuckle drooling racists. I can picture them standing and cheering at Obama's "bitter voters" comment."

That's for certain.

I've worked with all races of people, (for well over 35 years) and always treated all with respect, until shown that they deserved none.

What probably helped me was that I grew up in West Orange, N.J. where there was a very diverse population, ( a melting pot, if you will) and we all got along for the most part.

I served my country, and got along with all races. In otherwords, I do not consider myself a racist, even though I prefer to be among my own people. (Surprise, surprise!)

Obam-lama-ding-dong won't get my vote ... and it won't be because he is black.

I wish us well.

He is ignoring his white grandmother.

I'm not voting for him because he has shunned and is ashamed of his white heritage. When it comes time for restitution to be passed, I can't wait to see him pay himself.

Methinks many will get a wakeup call in November, (in spite of a very poor candidate on the other side) but not all will vote against obama just because of his percieved blackness. Millions will also vote against him because he is their enemy.

Actually the vast majority of the voters who don't vote for Obama the marxist, whether they vote for McCain or some third party candidate, will do so because of his politics, not because they are racists.

The vast majority of blacks who vote for Obama will do so because they are prejudiced against whites and they don't care what kind of a**hat Obama is, they will vote for him. That is the real racism of this election.

I will even go so far to say the the prejudiced people who vote for Obama will out number the prejudiced people who vote against him.

Agree. To me it’s all reminiscent of the first O.J. trial.

Now, even blacks who have never voted, claim no political affiliation, have no interest in how this country works (or doesn’t) will haul themselves to the polls in November to vote for the magical one, simply because he is black.

Who can forget those black O.J. trial watchers, many of whom admitted they were sure “he killed her” yet claimed they just did not care — Nicole had it coming as she was nothing but a “raggedy a**ed white woman with nothing going for her.” I actually heard a black female acquaintance of a good friend utter that last statement and it was similar to many other statements made during that timeframe.

Here in L.A., I constantly see evidence of reverse racism.
THIS is the type of attitude the country needs in its voters? I think not!

NOBAMA, not now, not ever.

I never thought I would agree with Geraldine Ferrero on any issue but there it was, Obama would not have been in the presidential race had he been white. My sentiments exactly.

As for his actually being more than half “white,” he doesn’t LOOK white and most people out there are not dissecting his ancestry to find out the truth. They see black, they want black, they vote for the black.
