Time To Keep CNN Honest!! (Greta Kicking Anderson Cooper's @ss!)
Fox News ^ | July 4, 2008 | Greta Van Sustern

Posted on 07/05/2008 10:55:27 AM PDT by Recovering_Democrat

...It has been rumored that in one year [CNN] spent about 27 million dollars in advertising of Anderson Cooper...the President of CNN told me that Anderson Cooper has a staff of nearly 60. We beat them with our staff…of about 12.

BWA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!

I am not a big fan Greta, but just knowing AC has FIVE TIMES the staff she does, and CNN still loses, is amusing.

Anderson Cooper is a co-host with Kelly Ripa when Regis is gone, he gets all sorts of praise from the press, but when the rubber hits the road, he is another liberal trying to masquerade as mainstream. Gee, kind of like....B. Hussein Obama.

Is it true that AC is chutney ferret? Al Sharpton seemed to let that out of the bag the other night.

Ha! Well played, Van Susteren.

I don’t actually watch Greta much, but this is a gutsy move. I actually think Cooper’s critique of Great’s “missing-person-of-the-day” coverage is fair — but that Cooper ought not take shots at someone who’s so clearly better than he is.

Van Susteren is good, but probably mtoo focused on particular crimes. Still — she’s no different than 20/20 or DateLine in that respect. Cooper’s just a hack ... he ought to fix his internal problems before criticizing competitors who are absolutely creaming him in the ratings (despite a smaller staff and a fraction of Cooper’s advertising budget).

Some of the criticism of GVS is right on the money. When she comes on I channel surf. Her show is mostly scandal type stories. She really doesn't do hard news. I don't like this type of show but I do realize that the Cable News Stations cannot do hard news all the time. They must fill a 24hour schedule and if they did nothing but hard news, people would turn off.
That said CNN is a joke. This Network was the first and they had a big lead in the early days of Cable News. But just like the Broadcast Networks they began the move to the liberal and the left. Their reporting became just as absurd as the Broadcast Networks. They do a lousy job at the news and their commentary is worse. Can anything be worse than Larry King?
For all the scandal shows on Fox News, it is still better than CNN and that other cable network that nobody watches MSNBC.

I watch Greta sometimes when the missing are not on. I think she does a great job at being impartial, she doesn’t seen to take Bambi as the messiah. I like her.

The column was better than anything found on her five hours of weekly prime time programming. That is the problem. As a host, she has little to offer unless O J would get married and widowed again. THE LOWEST MOMENT IN FOX NEWS TELEVISON was on Greata’s watch. When the Uncle Jeremiah Wright controversy was raging, she interviewed Al Sharpton. She asked the race pimp a question about the racists rants of Barry’s Uncle before he had disowned and exiled him. The Brawley Bawler responded that he did not know anything about any racists rants, could she give an example of what she was referring to. She said no, that she NEEDED to do some more research and would he be available to come back on the program tomorrow. A pathetic performance, but it does not come as much of a surprise, there has been a lot which has come to light in the last couple of years which is pathetic about Fox News.

I can't stand CNN, but, let's be fair. The following statement could just as easily come from many a Freeper:

...Ms. Van Susteren’s show is “not a news program,” Mr. Doss told TVNewser on Tuesday. “It’s missing-person-of-the-day. There’s an audience for that, but it’s not what we do. We’re covering the world, not just covering who’s missing today.

I listen to Greata sometimes via XM satellite radio - so no visual distraction. I listen to see hear how badly she mispronounces her words. “Senator” always comes out “Senener”

Speaking of “Britishisms” what is a “toff”? I saw that on a story of a dust-up in Parliament. Some Scottish woman let that one fly.

In ordinary usage, a 'toff' is a sportsman, a man-about-town, usually quite well-heeled and free-spending, upper-middle-classish person. Plus a connotation of ''good guy'', ''hail-fellow-well-met'' sort of thing.

The term ''upscale player'' might approximate ''toff'' in NYC.

As an epithet, it would be similar to 'elitist', or perhaps 'spoiled elitist' or 'spoiled rich boy', with a connotation of 'snobbery' in there somewhere.

Definitely a favourite epithet of the socialists who have overrun Scotland.

AC is CNN’s big “star”, and he can’t beat a dullard like Greta! CNN is shopping him around to other networks to boost his image, but the only thing happening is people asking “When did 60 Minutes go gay?”

When news of the dustup was on the Drudge report the link was to Greta's blog, where they invited comments. I left a comment there telling them basically the same thing: they might be more popular than AC but her show still sucks. Any show that features nonstop Natalie Holloway coverage makes my cringe list.

Liberals run their businesses like other liberals run the government - They just keep adding headcount to the payroll.
When the business loses money and there are so many people they are bumping into and tripping over each other they hire more people to study the problem.

Today each Congressmen and Senator has a larger staff than did Harry Truman or Ike.

When I watch television in the summer, it is generally the Rockies. But I will say this for Greta. When I have seen here interview political figures, she asks tough questions but is alway professional and polite. I don’t have any problems with the way she does her job.

Greta’s program has become much better since she stopped trying to do one show per every blonde bimbo who came up missing in Wisconsin, Aruba or Hoboken.

I quit watching her during that time period.

Greta Van Greta is nothing but a soap-opera tabloid aimed at women.

http://www.advertiseonbresnan.com/cab/269.pdf

There is nothing newsworthy about this sordid hack. It is just National Inquirer does FOX. FOX has completely given up on actually reporting hard news and is nothing but tabloid TV now. I missed the entire era when FOX reported the news, because I certainly can’t find any of it now. 99% tabloid TV or talking heads. No news. Puke.

No wonder I get all my news off the internet. Even Fox is crap and Greta Van Greta is among the worst on any news station. If it weren’t for female viewers hanging on every sordid story, she would have been cancelled years ago.

Fox should just hire Oprah and get it over with.

Greta is probably one of the best interviewers on the tube. And her gaggle of lawyers can be quite amusing. Maybe just a bit too many crimes.
