This is the picture and little blurb associated with the article:

100-plus give a lesson in free speech

The Daily Progress/Megan Lovett

While most demonstrators protesting the president’s visit stood alongside Route 20, some with tickets caused an outburst during the ceremonies at Monticello. No protester was arrested.

"Palmer wore bright green robes, a foam crown and had her face painted white to represent “the death of liberty,” while her husband, dressed in black, was “Darth Cheney.”

LOL at Darth Cheney. Little do they know that they used a very positive characterizationof our Vice President.

The prosters were lined up outside from about 6 am and got a "salute" from one of those Rich Conservatives:

At least two, including a limousine driver headed toward Monticello, gave protesters a less-friendly finger gesture.
His passengers must have approved.

“What better thing can I teach them about free speech than bringing them out here to show them free speech?” she said.
Teaching them about free speech is one thing. Teaching them to be a$$holes is something quite different!

Dana Palmer stood by the side of Route 20 dressed like Lady Liberty to teach her kids a lesson in free speech.

I thought she was teaching her kids that her parents are idiots.

LOL, you got that right!

Check this out:

Hataw Saadi Taha, who fled the northern region of Iraq 11 years ago, said she wanted to become an American citizen because the United States was the first country that accepted her after leaving the rule of Saddam Hussein.

“I am very proud of my new country,” Taha said. “Especially on the Fourth of July.”

*snip*

Taha said she disliked the protesters who tried to disrupt Bush’s speech at the ceremony.

“Everybody can have their own speech,” she said. “But I didn’t like it at all, especially for today.”

Best part of this "article" is this little gem:

"Most people held up signs of their own creation with messages including, “Healthcare Not Warfare,” “Save The Bill of Rights” and “Who Would Jesus Bomb?”"

These protesters are too stupid to realize the irony of placing "Healthcare Not Warfare" RIGHT NEXT TO "Save The Bill of Rights."

Someone explain to these morons that free health care is NOT a right, especially not one enumerated in the Constitution. *snicker*

There is a time and a place for protest, this wasn't one. It should of have been a time of celebration for new American Citizens. Instead, it turned into a senseless display of blatant disrespect. The protesters did nothing but showed the world what kind of mindless self-serving media-whore idiots they really where.

Sarah Lanzman, an organizer and Center for Peace member, said the protest was about protecting the Constitution from what she described as attacks by Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney.

Ask any one of these asshats what liberties, constitutional rights, or freedoms they have lost, and their eyes glaze over..

They are charter members of the "Haven't Got A Clue" Club.

Referencing the "Who Would Jesus Bomb?” sign, I don't think that Jesus would go against his Father wiping out legions of people (just like these idiots) in the Old Testament.

The funniest thing to me is that if there were no war in Iraq these people would still be screaming for impeachement. And if the Pres were a Rat they would be foursquare in favor of the exact same war. Loonies.
