Ever notice things the left likes are immune from CGWP (Causes Global Warming Panic)?

So, Plasma TVs cause global warming.

Well, Arugula causes global warming.

Sure. Why not? It is a cultivated plant and as we know any agricultural activity — like any activity of man — causes global warming. It requires fertilizer, pesticides and water, which is made up of H2O and we all know that O is a main ingredient of CO2, with a capital C, which rhymes with G, which stands for Global Warming.

The Obama eats it. He was complaining about the cost.

It is used in salads. Dictionary: A Mediterranean herb of the mustard family, with pungently flavored leaves that are often eaten in salads.

You and I probably haven't had it because it's mostly for elite socialists.

Man, thank you. I was just about to come out with that question myself...make myself vulnerable right here on this thread, and you saved me the humiliation. Thanks.

Until yuppies like the haloed one and his significant other discovered it, arugala was a reasonably priced green leaf of Italian origin that makes great salads, is used for a great veal milanese with roma tomatoes, and is a great addition to a pasta of shrimp garlic and oil.

Now the well to do yuppy types have raised its price and lessened its availability to guys like me. I have to travel to yuppy markets like Whole Foods to get quality stuff and pay yuppy prices. I blame the haloed one and I will see he pays for my inconvenience.

Let's start with water bottles

Now that I'm on a rant, wasn't the 60's all about being against "the man" and "selling out". Well I've never seen such a gigantic sell-out. 60's radical retread trendoids have done nothing but embrace big institutions - academia, the press, big government, Starbucks, classic rock co-opted for TV commercials, the list goes on.

None of which, of course, cause any problems for minorities, the environment, the poor, etc., etc. /sarc

Maybe we should start a thread on liberal hypocrisy.
That maybe the longest thread this year.

Such as:
- PETA and Abortion Rights
- freedom of speech and the Fairness Doctrine.
- Affirmative Action and discrimination against white guys.
- No capital punishment but legalized abortion.
- algore and flying all over the world to promote Global
warming.

I feel your pain!

Radicchio is favored by many upper crust Democrats because it is grown covered with compost to keep its delicate leaves from getting sunburned. The compost has a heavy hosshiite component.

Turnip greens are what we eat. Aruluga is what the Obama and elitists eat. Probably the same plant.

BTW. Have you ever noticed when you do a spell check under Microsoft Word for Obama it comes up with Osama?

Arugula is also eaten by a large number of Americans of Italian ancestry, who never saw it as “elite” food.

Anyone who doesn't live in my neighborhood is an elitist. Even Italians that eat Arugula.
