Torn between liking it, loving it, or wanting more of it.

Obama has repeatedly indicated that if he becomes president, the military option against Iran will be completely removed from the table.

Terrorist orgs and terrorist-run nations are pulling for a B-HO victory as if their lives depended on it. ....which of course they do.

so Iran is safe right now and they know it. Israel would
never risk to start a war with a country that big like Iran is without US aprroval.

1) Can the facilities be destroyed or significantly damaged from the air, setting back their progress measured in years? If not, there's little advantage to that strategy.
2) Do the Israelis have the ability to put ground troops in to make sure the facilities are destroyed? Me thinks Israel will surprise us with their capabilities.

Why can’t we just lob some cruise missles at these facilities?

I just can’t buy into the idea that we don’t have missles strong enough to destroy Iran’s nuke facilities.

Torn? What the hey, what is he torn about? I can only suppose Mr. “Mission Accomplished” would rather the world's most dangerous nation keep on trucking towards eventually building a “big potato” to eradicate Israel.

I think it’ll be a little of both.

There may be some locations that are best taken out by commandos. Most of these commandos know that they’ll likely be going on a suicide mission.

Any Israeli troops that go in on such a raid definitely wouldn’t wanna be captured. They’ll be tortured beyond belief - after they’ve been paraded around on intl TV as “war criminals”.

Once again, I hope to remind everyone that if we *just* air attack Iran, it will be like Gulf War I, except the Iranians are motivated to reconstitute their nuclear program—and they have the resources to do it. So we will have to do it a second time, but only if we have the political will, which is unlikely.

For this reason, Iran must be partitioned. It must have its Arab lands with most of Iran’s oil wealth and the Bushehr reactor given to Iraq, and Iranian Baluchistan, with much of Iran’s mineral wealth, given to Pakistan to reunite with Pakistani Baluchistan.

And while we’re at it, the northwest Kurdish lands should be united with Iraqi Kurdistan. By taking all three of these regions, there will be the added benefit of denying Iran any future ability to menace shipping in the Persian Gulf or Arabian Sea.

Such a partition is not impossible, and is a four stage process.

First is the air war, to reduce Iranian nuclear and missile capabilities.

Second is still air war, to reduce the Iranian military and IRGC.

Third is a slicing motion of by US maneuver divisions in Iraq, in a crescent screening movement from northwest to southeast Iran.

Fourth, this would allow the Kurdish Peshmurga, the Iraqi army, and the Pakistani army to occupy their respective new territories with minimal resistance. Since the people in these areas have much more in common with the adjacent nation peoples than the hated Persians, this will not be a very difficult partition.

And the reduction of the Iranian military and IRGC will make it difficult for the Iranians to try and regain these lands by force. The typical Iranian on the street will be somewhat indifferent, unless Persia proper is invaded, which we will seek to avoid.

The end result will be a smaller nation of Persia, that no longer menaces the region, and while reasonably prosperous will be denied the ability to make nuclear weapons. There will be no need for a US occupation, or even to decapitate their government.
