Why in hell we would want to do a free trade agreement with the largest cocaine exporting country in the world is absolutely beyond me.

because if you don't trade legal imports then all that's left is cocaine. We can destroy their economy and then all the money is in the hands of narco-terrorists.

Nice to know that any troops and any civilians that are killed in South America have bled on hands that are controlled by democrats in this country.

All Texans remember that CHET EDWARDS is Pelosi's b#tt-boy. Vote for a conservative Republican in the Fall for Congress.

We're screwed with McCain so the only way we can hold out is with conservatives in the legislature.

Remember everybody, selling your country out isn't bad, but being a CEO of a legitimate corporation is EVIL.

f'ing hypocritical "support the troops-hate the war" traitors.

The idea being that legal commerce would build up their domestic industries, improve their overall economy, and help drive a wedge between the people and the drug lords.

In practice though, and with "friends like Pelosi", it's probably a lot harder to do. But the theory has some sound foundations.
