One does not vote for 'history'. Just when you think you've heard it all. Sheesh.
I am a woman from California. I have spent my entire adult life voting against women from California. I vote for the candidate who best shares my values and so far no one who looks like me has measured up.

"Calvin Stephens, chairman of the African-American Republican Leadership Council in Texas, said that he's voting for Obama because this is a "black pride moment!" "
Black pride? Kind of sounds like the same reason that black jury acquitted O.J. It doesn't matter what they've done, or what they stand for, it's the color of their skin that gets the vote. As Donald Trump would say: Very shallow.

Plus all the Republicans voting for Obama because they dont want to vote for a McCain. And therefore will unwittingly vote to invigorate Islamic Fascists who seek to destroy the United States of America.

Im voting for McCain like my life depends on it.It does. And just like Chas Wayne CT, I know whats up. We are going to have to win this one without a decent candidate. For the Gipper.

With Obama constantly making himself about race (”yes we can”) I think he is making black people look bad because of his lies, corruption and America hating.
Blacks would actually be better off without Obama.

Isn’t McCain the first former-POW presidential nominee?

A truly historical vote would be a vote against the content of Obamas character, not for the color of his skin. Hear, hear.
To: mpackard
I really hate to say this.....BUT...putting myself in their shoes I think that it would be difficult, if not impossible to resist casting such a historical voteWhy, race trumps the interests of the nation. Presuming these are conservatives, not liberation theologists in disguise.
These black Republicans give me the opportunity to say something nice about Barak, when it came to confirming the first black Secretary of State, he voted his, imo incorrect, view of America's interests, and voted no to Condi.

“...the first legitimate black presidential candidate...”
I am sick of Hussein playing the race card.
First , since his daddy was already married he is not legit.
Second as a biracial Aryan-Kenyan or possibly multiracial aryan-arab luo, he aint black.
third, there are more white liberals who get tingling down their “leg” than there are white racists.
fourth, there are far more (in both relative and absolute terms) black racists like rev wright and michelle than white racists.

Exactly right.
J.C. Watts and Armstrong Williams are contemplating a vote for Stalinist style totalitarianism and Malcolm X style RACISM?
These black folks are not conservative Americans in the slightest.
If they say they are conservatives, then they are lying.

Well, what do you expect?
The race less society MLK dreamed of was replaced by the multi cultural society of today. This is what you get.

A taxpayer voting for Obama, is like a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders.....

Has anyone yet undone the logic of this statement?
If A is likelier to vote for B because of B's skin-color, then A is a racist.
I can't for the life of me see around that.
