Bloody Photos Hit Streets in Protest of Order of Canada Announcement

CALGARY, AB, July 7, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - For the last four days, the Canadian Centre for Bio-Ethical Reform (CCBR) cruised Calgary streets, with an 11-meter-long box-bodied truck displaying bloody photos of aborted human beings.

Stephanie Gray, executive director of CCBR said this initiative is particularly important given the recent decision to award abortionist Dr. Henry Morgentaler the Order of Canada. In the wake of this controversial news, CCBR, known for its public display of graphic abortion images, has brought out its "Reproductive 'Choice' Campaign."

"Since Canada has chosen to bestow its highest civilian honour to an abortionist, we thought it fitting to show Canadians precisely what Henry Morgentaler is being honoured for," said Gray.

Gray told LifeSiteNews that the truck was well noticed, as it travelled down streets filled with the thousands of people attending the Calgary Stampede.

"The fundamental point that we are trying to communicate to the pro-life movement is that more than being in a frenzy over Morgentaler being awarded the Order of Canada, we should be in a frenzy over babies being killed. Why don't we expose what he is being awarded for and really turn Canadians off of the action of abortion so when society turns from abortion the award can be taken from him," explained Gray.

"Henry Morgentaler likes to spin himself as a promoter of human rights, but the images on our truck tell the real story: that abortion is a brutal violation of human rights," said Gray. "This debate is far from over and we believe the more people see these images, the more people will adopt a pro-life perspective and condemn abortion, not celebrate it," she concluded.

Since launching its campaign in August last year, CCBR has been driving its truck throughout the streets of Calgary, receiving both criticism and praise.  Gray said they plan to continue the current initiative over the next few days.

I know these images are offensive to many, but there is a time and a place for almost everything.

The images of abortion, like the gas chambers used to murder millions in Germany, are usually shrouded in secrecy to prevent a change in public opinion. I suspect the death chambers would have failed to operate so effectively had the German people seen those images.

“Pray for the unborn.”

The unborn don’t really need our prayers; God’s holding them in his hand as they get slaughtered.

We should pray for the filthy abortionists and the mothers who pay them to kill their babies that they will see the horrors of what they’re doing and pray to God for forgiveness.

The members of this Canadian group have cajones.

The pro-life groups in this country should rent that truck and drive it around the parking lot of the 75,000 seat coliseum where the pro-abort Messiah is going to give his acceptance speech.

Morgentaler’s image offends me — I feel like hurling whenever I see it. Desperate times call for desperate measures. If people are offended by the images of aborted fetuses — they should be totally appalled at giving Canada's highest civilian honour to a mass-murdering scumbag abortionist.

I honestly believe that teenagers would take abortion much more seriously if they were shown photos like this. Most teens grow up thinking that there's a shapeless blob until the sixth or seventh month of pregnancy. I don't think they understand that they're killing their own son or daughter in a brutal and inhumane way.

Abortion needs to be seen to be “appreciated.” Thank God for those that provide and drive these trucks around. And, yes, having one cruise Colorado during the convention is a great idea and hopefully it is already in the works.

God save the babies! (And their mothers!)
