What the hell? It’s us tax paying schmucks that are paying for the world leaders, and the poverty stricken masses meals.

Funny thing, this story reminds me of “Animal Farm” for some strange reason.

Now I had read all about the meal and that idiot who wants the happy villagers to forgo electricity, but this was new to me:
Seven organizations representing small farmers in Africa, India and the Philippines presented to Greenpeace and to two other environmental organizations at the Johannesburg summit a "trophy" consisting of a piece of wood upon which two heaps of dried cow dung had been mounted. They called it the "Bulls...t Trophy."
That, is PRICELESS!

oh come on. i bet the portions were small and they all cleaned their plates. i mean, they were talking about the starving children of the world so they must have finished everything.
and they are world leaders. you can't talk all day without actually doing anything on an empty stomach.

Thanks for your comments. I appreciate the mentioning of that view. I don’t see it that way. Some will. I just don’t think it matters at all what they ate the day they chose to divy up “even our money” to the poor folks around the world.

That’s what I remember most - grain was locked up in a warehouse, and Greenfece types were hobnobbing with the dictators and engorging themselves in the very same land where people were starving.
