Estupido: Juan Hernandez gives dumb advice; McCain takes it

Whose idea was it to send John McCain down to Mexico the day before Independence Day and have him grovel for Latino votes south of the border by visiting the Basilica de Guadalupe–a famed Catholic shrine featuring the image of the Virgin of Guadalupe, which most Mexican politicians consider off-limits for campaigning?

According to Frentes Politicos (hat tip - reader Edgar M.), the stunt was the brainchild of none other than McCain’s open-borders Hispanic outreach director and former Mexican cabinet official Juan Hernandez, who apparently survived the big campaign staff shake-up:

PA-RIVER,

Sadly, after McCain p*sses in the face of the American people and informs them that it’s raining, a percentage of the populace will sagely nod and repeat “it is raining” despite all evidence to the contrary.

Imahawk, If McCain wins the nomination, Hernandez will be gracing casting an ominous presence on your television for the next four years.

I think you underestimate his arrogance. Something like 80% of Americans are opposed to amnesty. Yet after a brief flip-flop declaring that he has heard our concerns and understand our views, McCain quickly scurried back to the side of the fence where he is most comfortable.

A man who raises a finger to 80% of the electorate is probably not so concerned about the ill effects of a poorly chosen running mate.

Well, that's probably it then. God help us.

Take heart. He will. :-)

Because He has and He has promised to do so—not in our way, or according to our preference or on our timetable. But He will help us.

If you would like to know more, then I would be happy to open a thread in the religion forum discussing it with you.

A peaceful protest could be accomplished, but it would take thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of people willing to state that they will not vote for McCain and demand a new candidate.

The U.S. is not mentioned in the Bible, either symbolically or otherwise.

Maybe oyarsa knows differently, since surely he or she has read the Bible, in all of its translations (including the original Gospels in Greek), including all annotations, footnotes and concordances in their entirety.

Right, oyarsa? This should be interesting.

Where did I make the claim that it was mentioned in the Scripture? Your assumptions are showing, but you may defend them in the religion forum, or via private message.

I can read from both the UBS4 and NA27 editions of the Greek New Testament. I look forward to your demonstrating your compliance in the same in the religion forum, or privately. I ask you not to disrupt this thread with further off topic discussion; if you wish to discuss this, send me a private message and I will send you the link to discussion in the religion forum. This is not the place for this discussion.

Further attempts to disrupt or threadjack this thread will result in a request for moderation intervention.

I’m not interested in private messaging with you, especially after the snarky FRmail you sent to me and Bruceys Mom last night.

As far as your call for “moderation intervention,” bring it on.

You introduced the subject of religion to THIS thread, little fella. You need to read your own posts.

I have not now, nor have I ever supported Obama.

I have read all of your postings and I suggest you do the same: read your own posts. You have amply shown your support for Barack Obama:

When McCain loses votes for this and other shenanigans, he will stop. But He must lose votes on a large scale to get the message.

I won’t vote for McAmnesty.

And other DU-type postings. What I'd like to know is what interest a Brit twit has in American politics?

Don't you just love newbie tattle-tale trolls? I think the mods enjoy them too.

Really, because the mods just sit around with so much time on their hands. A tattle tale n00b gives them something to do. Win-win all around.
