Former President Bill Clinton told an audience that POWs often suffer "anger" long after the incident - which some took as a swipe at Vietnam vet and presumptive GOP presidential nominee John McCain.

Clinton is a complete ass. In fact I would be looking at him/her in regards to Obama’s plane problems. How many people that have bucked the Clinton’s have disappeared?
I'll sure and let him know when we need the perspective of a draft-dodger...
perhaps this explains Bill’s anger-he’s been held captive by hillary for 30 years, and as we’ve all seen he turns red and starts the finger wagging at the mere drop of a name-”miss lewinsky”
Billzo is merely projecting. He knows that he would lash out unexpectedly; probably kill people too.
I guess Clinton learned all of this while visting the gulags in the Soviet Union.
I’m looking at this a little differently....Bill and Hill don’t really want BO to win so why not start out just saying things that will anger large groups like Vets? Start small you know and by the time you are done everyone is upset?
Yeah, I think you’re going to see some POW anger alright, and it’s going to result in former POWs appearing in TV ads supporting McCain and slamming Obama surrogates such as Gen. Weasel Clark and Bubba.
Oh yeah, then what's the draft-dodging Slickster's excuse? Answer: the fact that his primary legacy is a stain on a blue dress.
“which some took as a swipe at Vietnam vet and presumptive GOP presidential nominee John McCain.”
Lol. Gee, you don’t say? Only some? How perceptive of them.
This is the same William Jefferson Blythe Clinton that the Bush family has been increasingly cozy with over the past several years, the same guy that our President made the comment that “it’s like having an older brother around”, or words to that effect.
No more Clintons, no more Bushes, NO more political so-called ‘dynasties’.
How would he know? Did he sleep with a psychologist and become suddenly endowed with all her knowledge?
Wouldnt put it past him.
Another smear against the Vietnam generation of military perpetrated by scum like Clinton. Be careful around the Vietnam veteran because he’s ticking time bomb waiting to explode in violence.
“So what, exactly, would Billy-Boy know about anything military, much less being a prisoner of war?”
I dunno, being married to Hillary probably resembles the SERE Course at times...
Former President Bill Clinton told an audience that POWs often suffer “anger” long after the incident....
So do republicans long after you’ve gone Bubba!....
LOL. Held captive by Hillary.
A little anger is a good thing. What would BJ Klintoon know about being a POW anyway? He spent his “time” in a tree..................................
I think at last count well over forty folks close to the Clintons at one time or another turned up dead.
The most outstanding example of this is Ron Brown. His military aircraft somehow plunged into a hillside in Croatia.
We know today that Brown was thinking of working with the special prosecutor to save his son from a prison term.
The Clintons knew this too.
Remember the tape of Bill leaving Brown’s funeral laughing uncontrollably? When Rush had his tv program he ran it again and again while the MSM scolded him.
Read RON BROWN’S BODY. It is a great book.
Does he have any opinion on residual anger among rape victims?
I was wondering how long it would take for Bubba to lash out in anger after be held POW (patsy of wife) and shunted off to hick towns for stump speeches during the primaries.
I am probably being overly clever here, but methinks Bubba might be working to solidify McCain’s conservative base. No way he wants Obama to win, unless of course he really wanted Hillary to LOSE and an Obama win would kill her aspirations.
Hmmm...I have clevered myself into a corner it seems.
About 25. Google “Arkanicide”.
He has absolutely NO shame. I may not be a mclame supporter, but I do respect his service and time in the “Hilton”.
Folks don’t fall for this attack by Bil Clinton.
Dick Morris has said this is one of their long time tactics. It causes a distraction and Republicans spend a week dealing with Bill Clinton and ignore Obama for a week.
The anger should be directed at Obama.
He has not apologized for his campaigners, (Bill Clinton) attack on Sen. John McCain’s war record.
By focusing on Obama instead of Clinton it draws a contrast between Obama’s lack of service and sacrifice for this country and Sen. John McCain’s.
How about a pervert rapist, which he is.
Seems to me that Bill is failing at everything lately. Heck, the plane they sent to help Obama ended up safely landing. Fail fail fail. Unfortunately, in your scenario that you proffer, there is a good chance he may fail in helping McCain.
The man is a pig.
The former Pres should stay home and stop embarrassing his family.
Our very own FReeper Alamo-Girl is the original authority on this subject. Her famous "Downside Legacy at 2 Degrees of Bill Clinton" site is permanently linked on the FR homepage.
I doubt POWs, Vets in general and most Americans for that matter will take kindly to his broad brush trashing of people in uniform who served their country for a time by being held as prisoners of war.
Best way to handle BillyBoy, get out of his way and let him go.
This is rich, a draft dodger gives his opinion about a war hero. Is this scrappleface?
Webb, a decorated former Marine officer, hammered Allen and Bush over the unpopular war in Iraq while wearing his sons old combat boots on the campaign trail. It seems the president may have some lingering resentment.
At a private reception held at the White House with newly elected lawmakers shortly after the election, Bush asked Webb how his son, a Marine lance corporal serving in Iraq, was doing.
Webb responded that he really wanted to see his son brought back home, said a person who heard about the exchange from Webb.
I didnt ask you that, I asked how hes doing, Bush retorted, according to the source.
Webb confessed that he was so angered by this that he was tempted to slug the commander-in-chief, reported the source, but of course didnt. Its safe to say, however, that Bush and Webb wont be taking any overseas trips together anytime soon.
Hey Webb. Your hair looks like a chia pet!
I know this is not a McCain friendly place, but do y'all think I will be putting myself and my family in jeopardy if I put a McCain sticker on my SUV? The alternative, BHO, is just too scary.
This stupid mentality that you could (as an example) offer a terrorist a sit down meeting, give a ham sandwich and have a peace is retarded thinking on liberals parts.
Has there ever been a major conflict that has ever been successfully concluded without a military conflict?
If not, why are liberals so interested in sabotaging our efforts and and endangering our troops?
Considering we are ALL supposedly Americians this shouldn't happen. Just shows what slugs some of our current citizens can be these days.
Maybe it is the indoctrinations in schools over the years?
Maybe it is because for so many History started when they were born and we seem to be repeating mistakes not having learned the lessons of the past?
In any case, I think there are VERY good causes all around for most veterans and current soldiers to get mad over.
I for one wouldn't blame them.
The problem isn’t imprisonment or anything else that happens to you. It’s how you release the anger that experience causes. If you bottle it up, an explosion is certainly a real risk. Right now, based on the campaign statements, I would guess the angry ones are Obama and his missus.
I’ve seen more anger eruptions from Clinton then I have McCain.
How many people that have bucked the Clintons have disappeared?
IMHO, the airplane incident was just a warning shot across the bow for Obimbo - maybe next time he won’t be so lucky that is if Hill is not picked for VP. The trailer trash mafia is definately weighing it’s options.
I imagine some people are not equipped to handle war.
I bet McCain could take anything thrown at him.
Actually he has already proved he could.
Clinton would get red faced, throw a tantrum and cry like a big baby.
Clinton is showing his true colors. He is outside the controlled environment of a candidate and President.
Can he make it through the rest of the election without unloading on Obama again? I don’t think he can.
How will the egomaniac/sociopath (who was President for 8 years) handle being second fiddle to the unproven freshman Senator? Is he jealous?
How is he handling the fact that he was not really the first “African-American President”? He seemed so proud of this he put his office in Harlem.
How would he handle being snubbed for a major speech at the convention? Could he behave badly enough to get excluded? I would not be surprised.
Can he handle rejection?
This could get interesting!
Personally, I’m enjoying watching Bubba go insane.
Syphilis can make you snap too ... maybe that’s why Bubba gets so red faced and points his finger so inappropriately.
