Obama Youth?

On Thursday, we talked a lot about Liberal Fascism. Apparently, it wasn't a moment too soon.

"[W]e are going to grow our foreign service, open consulates that have been shuttered and double the size of the Peace Corps by 2011 to renew our diplomacy," said Obama. "We cannot to continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we have set. We have got to have a civilian national security force that is just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded." (link)

LOL WUT? Obama's going to create a civilian national security force as strong as the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines -- combined? With the same budget? And hardware, apparently? Holy %^&*!

This inconceivably vast proposal is hardly being mentioned by the MSM; just a throwaway line in last week's speech about volunteerism. But what will this "civilian national security force" do? Obama didn't say. Where will they get their funding? Didn't say. Wouldn't this force be at least extra-constitutional, if not unconstitutional? Who would control them? Would service be mandatory like his other youth "volunteer" initiatives? ::shrug::

At this same speech, he promised to withhold funds from school districts that don't make their junior high and high schoolers serve 50 hours a year. 100 hours for college students, provided their type of service is deemed acceptable by a sprawling new Federal bureaucracy.

Oh, and Obama's going to double the size of the Peace Corps while quadrupling AmeriCorps. I'm curious if anyone will be left to fill all the newly vacated private sector jobs. St. Barack concluded his speech with this gem: "Loving your country must mean accepting your responsibility to do your part to change it."

But what if I love my country the way it is?

Throwing more kerosene on the mob's torches, Obama is moving his nomination acceptance speech to Denver's 75,000-seat outdoor stadium. And is thinking about a speech at Berlin's Brandenburg Gate. Odd that he didn't choose Nuremberg.

Dude, I barely pass classes as it is, an hundred hours would kill me, especially cause I don’t drive and go to college in the middle of no where.

I know people who do this (but it’s on scholarship) but the rest have to work just to put themselves through school.

However I’m lucky, my parents are helping me, but it would KILL the students who I know are working just under 40 hours a week just to be in school, and taking on so much in student loans they are up to their eyeballs.

It would wipe them out in a bat of an eye.

Your singing to the Chior. I have told my 18 and 19 year old sons that this could happen in the USA and they Poo Pooed it. But as an American Jew. I am very concerned.

The Stadium event is right out of Hitler’s playbook and should concern all American. How crazy have the Rats become.

It can happen anywhere, you just need the right factors as a catalyst. I know of some other Jews who are just as concerned about Obama. I'm of Jewish heritage myself, my great grandmother suffered under the Russian pogroms. Still You're not the only one scared, I'm scared, conservatives are scared, freedom loving Americans are scared, and whatnot. I just hope we all have enough oomph to counter the Obama-maniacs out there. I don't think he will win logically but then again, politics don't always follow logic. There are some who are afraid that Obama would go after Freepers and the like if he's elected, kick Rush, Savage, et al off the air and so on. We are all marked people.

I've said it but I do admit I kind of ripped it off of another Freeper that "Obama is Jim Jones' love child." He reminds me of Jim Jones.
