A teacher has been suspended amid claims she punished two children who refused to worship Allah during a Religious Education lesson. Alison Phillips, head of RE at Cheshire's respected Alsager High School, allegedly disciplined the Year 7 duo claiming they were disrespectful for refusing to kneel down and pray.
After giving the two boys detention the school was believed to have received several complaints from parents about the long-standing teacher.
Today, a school spokesman said she was suspended over the allegations - but also for "ongoing inquiries centred around other practical issues".
Joan Feenan, director of Cheshire County Council's children's services, said: "This authority is naturally concerned about complaints we have received from parents.
"Together with the school, we will be thoroughly investigating those complaints, in a careful and considered manner, and informing parents of the conclusions reached.
"Educating children in Christian and other religious beliefs is part of the national curriculum in secular schools and I'm sure that the great majority of our parents welcome any efforts to further mutual understanding.
"Having said that, this authority also accepts without question that such teaching should be carried out with awareness, sensitivity and sound common sense.

I believe this is bureaucratese for "keeping in mind that, unlike followers of other religions, muslims are perfectly willing to kill those who do not evidence what they consider to be the proper degree of deference to their traditional rites and revered figures."

The teacher is liaising with NASUWT, her union... No doubt. When Great Britain's autopsy is finally performed this lot will rightfully be identified as the cause of death. IMHO. I might expect the same of America's autopsy as well. Long may we await the day.

And we were just talking about Londonistan. ‘Great Britain’ is little more than an ampliatio at this point.

For what it's worth, Britain will face that fate before we do. Suicide was the case.

“The incident was believed to have taken place during a practical demonstration of how the prophet is worshipped.”
We’ve also heard about that in California, but do we ever hear about any practical demonstrations of Christian worship, or Christian rites? We shouldn’t be hearing about any of these practical demonstrations because they are not at all necessary to teach the basics of the different religions.
More parents should raise a lot more hell about this.

The beginning of the end of England as we know it began in the late 1960s/early 1970s. The same kind of morons who left the gates wide open in Britain thirty or forty years ago are in the House and Senate now--which isn't to say that our leaders were unlike with the Brits in some sense, à la, the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965.

Today, a school spokesman said she was suspended over the allegations - but also for "ongoing inquiries centred around other practical issues". Allow me to translate this statement.
The school administration was well aware of what was going on and tacitly approved. "ongoing inquiries centred around other practical issues" simply implies that they are going to scapegoat her to cover their own butts, and to do that properly requires multiple charges of different natures to muddy the waters.
Make no mistake here, this stuff is policy, unwritten perhaps, but deliberate nonetheless.
IMO, it was not the parental complaints that nudged the school into suspending this woman, it was the glare of the international spotlight. Schools there don't give a crap what the parents think any more than they do here.

I was being sarcastic...
Back when the children refused to take part in the Islamic religious “class”, they were punished by the “teacher”
Kudos for the teacher from the Islamic Imams etc...
(Sticking up for Mohammad etc)
Now the teacher is in trouble for “honoring Mohammad” and the “faith”...
How dare they persecute the teacher...

Yeah, I know, Nana. I couldn't help but take advantage of an Islam/beheading reference. ;)
