Just a general query; when Jesse Jackson said he wanted to cut Obama's nuts off, wasn't he recalling a time when black men were lynched?
I remember reading history and when such terrible events happened, black men were treated in just the way Jesse suggested.
So would it be fair to say Jesse Jackson has done the equivalent of hanging a noose? I can imagine what the press would be doing today if John McCain had said he wanted to cut Obama's nuts off.
Any thoughts?

Jesse Jackson made his comments to help Obama get elected.
It was a phony set up to try and show those whites who “cling to their guns and religion”, that Obama will even fight against race baiters like Jesse. Study the time line. Something like this usually takes three to 7 days to come to a conclusion, yet, amazingly, the whole thing went down in a few hours. Think about it, Jesse Jackson’s own son denounced him. How long does it take to trash your own dad. Two or three days? Not with Jesse Jr.- just a few hours. This is BS- don’t fall for it.

Look at the essentials: Jackson represents black activism. Here he is creating the appearance of a rift between himself and Obama.
This gives the appearance that Obama is not in the liberal black activist camp. To have Obama appear this way is a political necessity.
Major clues demonstrating this is a fraud: Obama would never “talk down to black people” (unless they were conservative) and he would never be criticized like this by liberal black activists.

If there is any kind of rift between Obama and Jackson, it’s not because Obama is “talking down to black people,” but almost certainly has something to do with Jackson seeking personal power and wealth.
