Rolling Stone continues Obama worship with second cover

Barack Obama graces the cover of Rolling Stone magazine for the second time in the campaign. After the first cover he got, I didnt think it was possible to give him a more worshipful picture, but they have done so. In the first cover, they create the look of a mythical figure, no doubt the hero of their dreams. In the later cover, its as if Obama is too divine to even have words placed around him. Like it would be profane to sully a page containing his visage with normal language. Orthodox Jews wont write the name God, believing it to be too sacred, instead writing G-d. How long will it be before the Rolling Stones of the world begin to write about the breathtaking virtues of Bar-ck Ob-ma?

My God, if Obama wins the election , then election night will be like New Years Eve, as the celebrations go all night in Hollywood and Las Vegas and anywhere liberal celebrity culture is important. The entire entertainment and celebrity culture world is solidly behind this guy. They all have a stake in his election. They are all pulling for him. Stay tuned.

when you consider just how weird the times we live in are, he’s sort of the perfect candidate.

Are his eyes closed, or is he looking down at....something? In any case he’s not looking the viewer in the eye. It strikes me as a a bizarre shot for a Presidential candidate.

I am going to laugh my head off on election night when this guy goes down in flames like George McGovern in 1972. Does anyone here personally know ANYONE that's voting for this guy?! Sure, we're conservatives, but not all our coworkers, friends, relatives, Church/Synagogue co-religionists, etc. are conservatives...

Does anyone here personally know ANYONE that's voting for this guy?! Some are insulated from the outside world in their own little cacoon and circle of conservatives. No matter who the candidate is dems will vote lock-step in large numbers including dead voters. Gore and Kerry almost won. Its a different world than 1972. The key are independents and certain swing states like Ohio, Florida, etc. I think McCain will do well with independents. The rest of the country is pretty much a red or blue lock.

As I posted on the NJ Polls thread...Over the Fourth weekend, I asked my NY/FL residing retired parents what they were hearing among friends on the golf course, at the Elks, at dinners, at poker, etc. I said—soooooo, are people talking about Obama? They replied—are you kidding??? Talking about not voting for him!

The Stone is pretty thin these days, college students have their own rags (details, HMN) no music scene of import to cover, no records to flack for. I bought a guitar and got six months free.

That celebration will be short lived... then the reality will sink in that the U.S.A. has a big bag of nothing for president.
Reality will strike the bleeding hearts waaay before the 100 day honeymoon is over.

Does anyone know anyone voting for him.
I’m sure there are lots of dumicrats who will vote early and often. I’ve noticed alot of activists at our local mall trying to get voters registered. And then when I’m on this site and read about those who are staying home or will write in their vote, well, that just doesnt help either.
Kinda scares the hell out of me.

In my work I come into contact with a pretty diverse array of people, including many union craftsmen. I was listening in on a bull-session of a bunch of electricians recently and amused by their distress.
A “good dhimmicrat” simply has to vote party line, but these guys would rather pass a baseball-sized gallstone than vote for Obeyme.
They sneered at the notion of voting for McCain (purely for leftist-partisan reasons) but I didn’t hear a single one that admitted, reluctantly or otherwise, that he was gonna pull the lever for BO...

I remember when he broke out the bike. Being a cyclist myself, it was embarrassing. Dork! Although I wouldn't mind having his very expensive Italian ride. :P
I could put it to better use than a photo op.
