Man claims to know source of "Phoenix Lights" UFO sighting (Video)

An astrophysicist claims to know the true source of a strange grouping of lights that appeared in the Arizona night sky 11 years ago.

Dr. James R. Bartzen said he has indisputable proof that the so-called "Phoenix Lights" were a product of secret man-made technology being shielded from the public.

He works at the Russian-American Institute of Space Science.

"There are no theories, there is only evidence," Bartzen told ABC15. "The government desires people to believe in space aliens so they don't have to reveal the technologies that both we and the Russians have."

I don’t think there is any question that the ‘stationary’ lights were flares behind the mountain range. I’ve seen the mountains superimposed on the ‘lights’ video and they blink out one at a time exactly as they drop behind the peaks.
IMHO absolutely no question.

Yeah, I saw a special about the Phoenix lights on the travel channel that showed that same thing. But the problem was that some people were saying there were 2 sets of lights, one in the 8 o’clock hour and one in the 10 o’clock hour. On top of that, Governor Symington said what he saw was not of this world. But of course, I wasn’t there and didn’t see anything, so I don’t know what they were.

This kind of stuff always makes me chuckle. Sure, some planes are mistaken for UFO`s. But if we actually had something that could manuver like UFO`s did, we would`nt be wasting billions on conventional aircraft like the F-22 or stealth bombers. We would only need a few to take out every air force on the planet.

I saw the triangle formation. I was coming out of a friends house in an exclusive neighborhood in Chandler when I looked up and saw a huge triangle of lights coming very slowly south from over the McDowells. The pictures that I have seen of the Phoenix lights match exactly what I saw then. The only problem is that I saw them in February of '97 and the Phoenix lights incident happened in March.

When I saw them, I stopped and was staring at them but my friend continued talking. As I watched (and I admit my first thought was UFO) the entire formation stopped.

My buddy noticed that I was looking at the sky and he looked up to see what I was watching. At that point, the light on (my) right started forward, made a 90 degree turn and crossed in front of the formation. My friend said "Oh those. We see them all the time" and began describing how he and his son had watched the same formation from his son's second floor bedroom window just before Christmas.

My mind was reeling but then I remembered that we were only a few miles from Falcon Field and that they were training German pilots on the Apache. We went back to our previous conversation. I am 100% convinced that the Phoenix lights were Apaches.
