McCain Proves Amnesty is
Political Suicide for the GOP

There's a ridiculous myth that RINOs in DC have been spinning about illegal immigration and it goes something like this: Hispanics vote almost entirely based on the illegal immigration issue and if Republicans deliver an amnesty, Hispanics will be so grateful that the percentage of them voting Republican will go from roughly 30% up to 50+%.
So, even if we allow 12-20 million mostly uneducated, mostly Hispanic illegal aliens from socialist countries to become Americans and that leads to another 30-40 million (or more) of their relatives becoming U.S. citizens through chain migration, it'll still be a net gain for the GOP because they'll be voting majority Republican.
Laugh if you want, but there are "bubble Republicans" in D.C. that believe this. If they didn't, they certainly wouldn't be setting up a situation where the GOP could be demographically overwhelmed to such an extent via illegal immigration that we'd be forced to have a Democrat-lite agenda to keep ourselves from becoming a permanent minority party.

That's the position the GOP believes we are already in and that's what they offer, McCain and Democrat lite. With 20+ million new, poor, uneducated, government dependent, Democrat voters, the Republican party, at least as far as national elections go, will functionally cease to exist.

If Hispanics felt that way the polls would be revealed that show them so.
The polls do not.
Most likely the polls are pushed this way, “Do you want illegals to be treated humanely?” Most would say yes, but still want them deported. The pro-amnesty propaganda of late, from McCain, for one, use the word “humanely” as a code word for Z visas and their ilk.

Illegals not doing too bad...
Some States End Illegal Immigrant Tuition Break
Wed, 07/09/2008 - 11:04 Judicial Watch Blog
Although ten states still grant illegal immigrants discounted public college tuition at U.S. taxpayer expense, many are beginning to reverse the outrageous and controversial policy which costs millions of dollars annually.
In the last few years four statesArizona, Colorado, Georgia and Oklahomahave created much-needed policies to refuse in-state college tuition at public institutions to those living in the country illegally. South Carolina recently became the first state to completely ban illegal alien students from all public colleges and North Carolinas attorney general ordered its 58 community college campuses to stop enrolling illegal immigrants because admitting them violates federal law.
North Carolinas attorney general is right. Federal law requires public elementary and secondary schools to enroll illegal immigrants but it prohibits illegal immigrants from obtaining tuition breaks that are not available to all United States citizens. Regardless, many states (California, Texas, Utah, Kansas, Washington and New York among them) continue to skirt the law by offering illegal immigrants the coveted perk.
In one highly publicized case, the courts actually sided with the violators. A group of American college students challenged the Kansas law granting cheaper in-state tuition to illegal immigrants, claiming the measure violates the 14th Amendments equal protection clause because it offers illegal immigrants a benefit they could not get.
The suit asked the federal courts to require that the state either eliminate the tuition benefit for illegal aliens or offer the same rate to all U.S. citizens, even those from other states. A federal judge in Topeka ruled against the students, saying that they failed to demonstrate the law had harmed them and the Denver-based 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals subsequently upheld the decision.
It marked one of many court defeats to the growing effort to curb illegal immigration and the devastating effect it has had on states and municipalities across the nation. Local governments continue to create policies to get the job done, however, in the absence of federal enforcement. Eliminating discounted tuition at the nations taxpayer financed institutions is a great step.

Yeah, and Jorge and Carlos and Juan’s believing and pushing that ridiculous myth have done tremendous damage to the Republican party, and they’re still at it.
Do any of these clowns ever ask themselves how the party went from perhaps its strongest position ever after the November, 2004 elections, to the weak state of the present? This stupid and unnecessary internal battle over amnesty is probably the biggest reason for that precipitous loss of power, but not the only one.

This is a question for any mugwhore out there; Name me a nation in South or Central America that does not routinely elect communists. That being commonly known, how in bloody hell could anyone with two brain cells to rub together buy the BS that if the GOP ponies up amnesty, they have their own new slaves on their plantation? These illegals would just keep voting for the same crapweasles that they allowed to ruin the latrines formerly known as nations where they slithered north from.

I agree. I have nothing against immigration, but in this post 9/11 world...if not for the necessity of law...it must be done in an organized manner. We must have order and a yearly quota. Overcrowded schools, hospitals and states going bankrupt, and rising crime are simply a disservice to every legal American. We must stand firm against amnesty.

No Republican is more closely associated with amnesty than John McCain. He was so heavily tied to the comprehensive immigration bill that was stopped in the Senate that many people called it the McCain/Kennedy bill. Oh come on now. The bill was NOT AMNESTY!
(1)The illegal aliens have to pay a huge fine, and
(2) They have to learn English.
Oh, wait. They only have to pay a teensy fine, but they still have to learn English.
Oops, they only have to sign up to take English, there is no exam.
Okay, the McCain/Kennedy bill was AMNESTY.
If Obama wasn't such an America-hating activist wanting to "change" my country into a collectivist Utopia, I would sit this election out.

Hispanics vote almost entirely based on the illegal immigration issue and if Republicans deliver an amnesty, Hispanics will be so grateful. . . . Excellent point. I've asked here literally for years, Are these Republicans, et al saying that Hispanics are inveterate law breakers? They cannot help it. It's what they do? Is that what McCain, et al are saying?
More BS from the latest McCain ad. This, as of now has dissuaded me from voting for president this year period!
McCain: "go to the Vietnam War Memorial and look at the names engraved in black granite"
Hispanics have a history of proud and heroic service to America. I know that! It was that way long before the war in Viet Nam!
What angered me was his IMO cheap, insulting attempt to equate ILLEGAL ALIENS (including CRIMINALS AND ALL) with immigrants who respected our Republic, served our Republic and deserve our respect and welcome even without that extra service.
I am personally sick of JERKS who do not have the courtesy to acknowledge that it's ILLEGAL ALIENS! Immigrants and legal residents have nothing to do with it!
If the jerks like McCain who insult us would stop it I personally could relax a bit. (Probably vote for the guy.) Illegal aliens who have attempted to assimilate and have taken steps to become legal can easily be welcomed also, IMO.

It was political suicide in 2006 when Bush, in a critical election year, wouldn’t shut up about “comprehensive immigration reform”, tried to convince us it wasn’t amnesty and lied when he said, “In order to have border security, we MUST have comprehensive immigration reform”.
As a result, we lost both the House and the Senate and to this day, stand to lose the WOT in our own backyards because he has “sold his soul” to the CFR/OBL and REFUSES to effectively secure the border... so that the NAU agenda moves forward.

IMO, the bi-partisan globalist agenda for the creation of the North American Union has become top priority and we may soon see, much to the surprise of (too) many, a very public and rapid rise in support for it from both parties as something to be used to cure all that ails this country, from partisan politics to the economy.

McCain & Bush want to destroy the conservative wing of the GOP. Look at their behavior. They only show true anger when they are fighting the conservatives in their own party. Remember Bush accusing opponents of the Harriet Miers nomination of sexism? Remember how he made Tom Tancredo persona non grata at the White House? Recall McCain's red-faced tirades against alleged “bigots” and his rage over the defeat of amnesty?
They never show that kind of passion against the left. Ted Kennedy can call Bush every name in the book and still get invited to the White House and honored with an award. The left can attack Bush or McCain 24/7, and spread outright lies about them, and at most they'll express a bit of regret that their rivals are being a little rowdy. “Golly, gee, I regard Senator Harkin as a friend and I'm sure that once the heat of the moment dies down we'll be able to work together on the issues where we agree.”
Given the choice between obliterating the left wing of the ‘Rat party, and the conservative wing of their own party, does anyone seriously believe Bush & McCain wouldn't choose the latter without a moment's hesitation?

One horrific news story reports Mexican officials demands the US Attorney suspend deportations of marauding Mexican criminals on US soil. Foreign governments interferring in American justice presage the Third World they are building on US soil. Illegals are being coached to radically change our government. Illegals have a weird sense of **entitlement** They are being coached into believing-----that with no proof of US citizenship OR by using fraudulent documents---- they can participate in our security, our prosperity, our legislative process, our voting process, and receive all the the benefits of democracy. This "entitlement" is underlined by Third World foreign governments interferring in US justice.
One invader who got US citizenship (with fraudulent documents) said: "I want to vote. It's time we take action to shape the way the country is being run."
This is damn frightening. Think about it-----a law-breaker intends to remake the US-----a country built on the rule of law.
Jose the criminal invader is now Jose "The American." He has no criminal record because he was never prosecuted for his crimes. Now he can be **rewarded** for violating our borders----he can infiltrate and undermine US L/E agencies and can carry a mega-firepower weapon.
He will be entitled to the highest security clearances because as a US citizen, his violent past will not be considered. Jose has more rights than just about any born-American. A foreigner who broke in, abused every US law he could, is now rewarded with access to everything that 13 generations of born-Americans fought and died for---and he plans to vote.
This is what years of indifference to the invasion has wrought. The invaders would change the foundation of our Nation from the rule of law to "mob rule."
Third World, here we come.
Obama and McCain's endless pandering to these people reinforces their misplaced sense of entitlement.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Mar 30, 2007
MALDEF AND NCLR TERM SENATE MINORITY LEADERS BLOCKING OF CHAVEZ RESOLUTION AN AFFRONT TO A GREAT AMERICAN AND THE LATINO COMMUNITY
Washington, DC The Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF) and the National Council of La Raza (NCLR) today express anger over the U.S. Senates failure to pass a resolution commemorating the birthday and honoring the legacy of noted labor and civil rights leader Cesar Chavez. The measure was blocked by Republican Leader Mitch McConnells (R-KY) objection to the resolution. Cesar Chavez is an icon in the Latino community, a World War II veteran, and a hero to many other Americans for his tireless efforts to bring dignity and respect to all workers, especially those who toil in our fields. He deserves to receive the highest honors and recognition this nation can provide, not to be the subject of political gamesmanship, stated Janet Murguía, NCLR President and CEO and John Trasviña, MALDEF President. Noting the Republican Leaders request to include language on Chavezs involvement in a 1969 march against growers importation of illegal immigrant labor to thwart the United Farm Workers of Americas organizing efforts, Murguía and Trasviña continued, The inclusion of such language suggests that Cesar Chavez would not have been appalled and outraged by todays anti-immigrant sentiment and policies, which not only is offensive but dead wrong. There is a time and place to debate the immigration issue, but to deny a great leader this congressional honor is a slap in the face to his family, to the Latino community, and to the millions in the U.S. and around the world who continue his work and legacy today. ###

Please cite a quote of him saying this. Or are you just guessing that this was his motivation? Hypothetically, he may just think it's the easiest solution. Or maybe he likes the idea of cheap labor. Or for some reason actually thinks that an open borders policy is a good thing on a humanistic level.
The point is I'm not in his head - and neither are you. You can opine all you want on his (and others) motivations, but unless you have a source of them saying that's what they believe then kindly don't label that opinion as fact.

Well, there are basically three choices...
A. Denial
B. Occam’s Razor - the most likely explanation is likely the truth.
C. The gamut of conspiracy and/or treason theories and/or End Times prophecies (Illuminati, NWO, Book of Revelation etc.)

“The point is I’m not in his head - and neither are you.”
No one had to be in his head, they only had to be modest observers of reality since 2001. Here is an article from August, 2001 that discusses and speculates about the Bush/Rove strategy to woo Latinos that had already become apparent to anyone paying attention. First lines of the article entitled, “Latino Strategy Could Backfire.”
“Legalizing Illegals May Lead to Democratic Domination. How far will the White House and some of its eager pro-immigrant Republican allies go to try to capture the Hispanic vote? The short answer: We don’t know yet.”
http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qa3827/is_200108/ai_n9002481
Well, we know now, they went for the whole enchilada and called it “Comprehensive Immigration Reform”, known to more honest folks as amnesty for illegals.
As this article shows, the Bush/Rove Latino strategy has been known and observed since 2000 and 2001. And here’s a summation of Rove’s remarks to La Raza in 2006, before the amnesty bill debates of late 2006 and summer of 2007:
“Mr. Rove made the temporary migration from the nation’s capitol to the City of Angels to remind the La Raza participants that the current administration supports a guest-worker program and earned legalization for undocumented immigrants. Throughout his 18-minute talk, there were scattered boos and hisses from the audience, but mainly in regard to the Bush administration’s stance on the war in Iraq, not in regard to the White House’s immigration policy.”
http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0JZS/is_16_22/ai_n24991389
So, why was Rove reminding the La Raza attendees in August of 2006 that the Bush administration supported “earned legalization for undocumented immigrants”, more accurately termed amnesty for illegal aliens. Pandering to Hispanics has been second only to the War on Terror during the Bush years. How could anyone have missed it?

You must not have been around on FR during the early Bush years - there were two stock arguments in support of Bush's amnesty efforts: 1) illegals are needed to support Social Security, 2) They're Gods children and 3) illegals are natural Republicans and will be so gratified once they are naturalized they'll vote GOP in droves.
It has since been established that illegals are a financial net loss to the US, so that argument went out the window, and if you think Bush, Kennedy, McCain, Gore, etc are moved to act out of a deep well of compassion, well I can't help you.

..... one stock argument in support of Bush's amnesty efforts....... "They're God's children" .......... Odd how these sap-happy "God's children" segued from a bunch of tabasco-swilling, drug-running lettuce pickers violating US borders to seek a "better life"...........into a virulent, evil cadre of American-haters, bent on building Third World hellholes on US soil. Decimating the American way of life seems to be their chief goal.
LA RAZA ANNOUNCES ----WE HATE AMERICA AND AMERICANS "We don't want to drink from a White water fountain, we have our own wells and our natural reservoirs and our way of collecting rain in our aqueducts. . . The White way, the American way, the neoliberal, capitalist way of life will eventually lead to our own destruction." Excerpted from Michele Malkin, 15 Things you should know about "The Race." FR POSTED http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2042782/posts?page=1
One horrific news story reported a Mexican official demands the US Attorney suspend deportations of marauding Mexican criminals on US soil. They actually believe-----that with no proof of US citizenship OR by using fraudulent documents---- they can participate in our security, our prosperity, our legislative process, our voting process, and receive all the the benefits of democracy. Foreign governments interferring in American justice presage the Third World they are building on US soil.
One invader who got US citizenship (with fraudulent documents) said: "I want to vote. It's time we take action to shape the way the country is being run." This is damn frightening. Think about it-----a law-breaker intends to remake the US-----a country built on the rule of law.
STILL SUCKING UP Both John McCain and Barack Obama will address the National Council of La Raza (The Race) annual convention in San Diego, this Sunday and Monday.

Yes, well this is old news here in California, where we are America mostly in memory. But I do share your anger over the situation.

This can't be true.
A Mr. Karl Rove of Texas and Washington, DC personally, personally I tell you, assured me that "Hispanics" are the "Republicans of the Future."
His original idea, .... and it was a whizzer of an idea... was to counterbalance the 95+ 0/0 death grip the Demons have on the African American vote. The "Hispanics," eternally grateful for being rescued from lives of poverty, disease, and discrimination in their homelands, would flock, flock I tell you, to the GOP standard. Whoopee!
Unfortunately, no one bothered to check out this theory with the "Hispanics," who are flocking to the Demons, despite not being allowed to vote because they are not citizens, and because I am led to believe that some of them might even be in this country illegally. (NEWSFLASH!)
You see, my FRiends, for the upper reaches of the GOP like Mr. Karl Rove, Mexicans are, and apparently always will be, those "friendly little brown fellas" who keep the golf course so nice.

Besides this post being downright humorous, it is also very true. LOL
Even old Karl should know that a woman of the night only owes her allegiance to the person willing to pay for her drug habit. In the case of illegals, they are looking for socialism and they get all they need from the Democrat party. Gubmint checks off the backs of the US taxpayer is a very strong allure.
They spend very little time thinking about our Constitution and the best interests of US citizens. Same as the Democrats, just pony out that free crap paid for by others. The illegals and socialists south of the border, will always vote for you.

To join: FReepmail rabscuttle385 to subscribe or to unsubscribe from this ping list. This can be a very high-volume ping list at times. We are exploring giving subscribers two different options for receiving pings: either to individual threads or to a single "digested" thread at the end of each calendar day. FReepmail rabscuttle385 if you are interested in receiving one or the other. Take care to check the "mccainlist" and "mccain" keyword search links for related threads, since we can not possibly ping you to every relevant article that is posted. To flag a relevant thread, please add the keyword "mccainlist".
Republican Commissars Warning: By joining this ping list, you may be subjected to the irrational rants and ramblings of McCainiacs, of "moderate" Republicans, and of countless trolls who simply want to meet a new overlord. |

Do any of these clowns ever ask themselves how the party went from perhaps its strongest position ever after the November, 2004 elections, to the weak state of the present? This stupid and unnecessary internal battle over amnesty is probably the biggest reason for that precipitous loss of power, but not the only one.Probably not. They think they're too busy to put down their Hi-balls, leave the fairway and find out what's going on in the real world.
I'll wager Charles I, Louis XVI and Nicholas II all thought similarly.

Wasn't he the guy who swore that once the prescription drugs program was passed, granny and grandpa would throw down their crutches, arise from their wheelchairs and run to their polling places on election day to put GOP candidates into power?
