O you who hear prayer, to you all men will come. When we were overwhelmed by sins, you forgave our transgressions. Blessed are those you choose and bring near to live in your courts! We are filled with the good things of your house, of your holy temple. You answer us with awesome deeds of righteousness, O God our Savior, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas, who formed the mountains by your power, having armed yourself with strength, who stilled the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the turmoil of the nations. Those living far away fear your wonders; where morning dawns and evening fades you call forth songs of joy. (Psalm 65:2-8)

O God who hears prayer, we come to You with praise. You have armed Yourself with strength; by Your power You formed the mountains, and stilled the roaring seas. You have forgiven our transgressions, giving us salvation through Jesus Christ.

Lord, we pray for President Bush. We ask that You would bless all his time in office. May he seek Your wisdom and Your righteousness, and may Your Spirit guide him in all he does. May he fix his eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of his faith, and run the race marked out for him with perseverance.

Father, we pray for our troops. We praise You, Lord, for every day that each one is kept from harm, and we pray that by Your grace these days would multiply. Be their shield, Father, and their peace. May You open their eyes to see the love You have for them in Christ Jesus.

Lord, we thank You for our country and pray for Your peace to be with her. We pray for Your church; may Your saints be united in love, and stand firm in the Gospel.

Lord, we are saddened at the news of Tony Snow's death, and we pray that You would comfort his family and all those who knew him, and give them peace.

Lord, to the ends of the earth men fear Your wonders; where morning dawns and evening fades, You call forth songs of joy. For You, Lord, have shown us awesome deeds of righteousness. You are our Savior, our God, our only hope, and You have filled us with good things. To You, O God, be glory in the highest. In the Name of Jesus our Savior, Amen.

Lord, we are saddened at the news of Tony Snow's death, and we pray that You would comfort his family and all those who knew him, and give them peace.

Amen, Lord. We are grateful for the powerful example of this kind and gentle man and we are confident that he rests with You now, Lord. May his prayers for our nation be answered, and may You bring goodness and comfort to his family. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Praying with you all for our President. And particularly for the repose of the soul of Tony Snow, a truly great American; he is no longer cancer ridden or in pain. I’m sure Tony is in Heaven doing just what he did on earth— reflecting God’s love for each one of us.
