Obama Supporters on Far Left Cry Foul [“I’m disgusted with him,”]
New York Times ^ | July 13, 2008 | WILLIAM YARDLEY

Posted on 07/12/2008 1:57:42 PM PDT by Berlin_Freeper

In the breathless weeks before the Oregon presidential primary in May, Martha Shade did what thousands of other people here did: she registered as a Democrat so she could vote for Senator Barack Obama.

Now, however, after critics have accused Mr. Obama of shifting positions on issues like the war in Iraq, the Bush administration’s program of wiretapping without warrants, gun control and the death penalty — all in what some view as a shameless play to a general election audience — Ms. Shade said she planned to switch back to the Green Party.

“I’m disgusted with him,” said Ms. Shade, an artist. “I can’t even listen to him anymore. He had such an opportunity, but all this ‘audacity of hope’ stuff, it’s blah, blah, blah. For all the independents he’s going to gain, he’s going to lose a lot of progressives.”

Dear troubled followers,

Don't worry fellow travelers. Obama is lying, just like the communist play-book says to. He needs to get the useful idiots on board, as there aren't enough true believers like yourselves to even get him within cheating distance.

So stop worrying, or your name will be added to the pogrom list.

So his supporters even admit he's a liar and a deceiver.

How the NYT can in good faith represent that 70k came out to see him is nothing short of bodacious. Everyone is aware he was the second act and the crowd was there for the free concert.

If Progressives could win elections, they wouldn't have had to kill 100,000,000 people in Russia and China...

They (the “disgusted” far left) are part of the deception. They know that he does not mean a word of his moving-to-the-center speeches; they’re trying to help him fool everyone else by faking disgust.

The question is—What does he really believe in? Maybe we should ask his mentor—Rev. Wright. Maybe he knows what Obama is really about—if anything.

“You mean like a free concert given by a very popular local Communist band”

Very true. More commies supporting Obama.

This should worry everyone not just here on FR, but everyone in America. The fact that a man who is supported by so many far-left/communist radicals could very well be the next president is absolutely frightening and should be enough for anyone to vote for McCain.

Typical liberal trick, repeat the lie enough and people will believeit.

If you use the ruler on Google Earth and measure the area occupied by the crowd at the event (which you can see from the news photos) it is a simple calculation to ascertain that there could never have been more than 25,000 - 30,000 in that space. It is a physical impossibility to get more (without trampling many people to death).

Their crowd figures are a sham, They figure no-one can challenge them so they inflate them for propaganda.

Jeremiah Wright said it first when he said Obama was just saying what he thought we all wanted to hear to get elected. He said he KNEW the real Barack and that on November 5th, he would be calling him and putting him to the test (interprete as “payback time”). Now, liberals everywhere say it’s ok for Obama to lie if it attracts enough stupid people to get Obama elected then he can tell the stupid people he was just lying and can go back to his leftist agenda...AND THEY THINK THAT’S OK.

These are the same people who said ten years ago, “Hey, it’s just sex, everybody lies about sex.” Here we go again. Has it occurred to any of these folks on the left that the independents aren’t illiterate day laborers but are quietly intelligent Americans, reading the same articles they are? Does it occur to the left that the independent folks that Obama wants to attract know that Obama is lying? Have a look at the last week of polls...Americans for the most part aren’t loud and vocal but they are quietly observant...and they are beginning to catch on to what Obama is really all about.

Obama Adopts “Bold New Approach” to Iraq War

In what the media are hailing as “an incredibly nuanced take on a very sticky problem,” Democratic presidential hopeful, Senator Obama announced a “bold new approach” for dealing with the war in Iraq.

Under Obama’s plan, he will “confer with the commanders-on-the-ground in Iraq to ensure a militarily sound strategy is followed.” At the same time, “performance benchmarks that the Iraqi government will be required to meet will be monitored.”

Erstwhile supporters of the Illinois senator expressed outrage at what they are calling a “sell-out.”

“Conferring with the Army brass and monitoring benchmarks are the Bush policies for this war,” complained Danner Kline, a self-identified staunch supporter of Obama. “Obama’s practically denouncing and rejecting every progressive voice in the country.”

Kline says that while he is disappointed in Obama’s turnabout, he will still vote for him “in the hope that he is just lying in order to get elected.”

Let's correct this a bit:

The hard left will vote for Hussein no matter how he trims his sails. The benefit here is that the kiddies, while they say they will still vote for him will have lost their hyper enthusiasm and are apt to vote in normal numbers which means not many.
