A "man wearing a T-shirt depicting a cartoon character holding a gun was stopped from boarding a flight by the security at Heathrow's Terminal 5," The BBC reported on June 1.
Brad Jayakody, from Bayswater, central London, said he was "stumped" at the objection to his Transformers T-shirt.
Mr. Jayakody, a clean-shaven young man with eyeglasses and short hair, said the incident happened in mid May, when he was challenged by an official during a pre-flight security check.
"He says, 'We won't be able to let you through because your T-shirt has got a gun on it'," Mr. Jayakody told reporters.
"I was like, 'What are you talking about?'
"(The goon's) supervisor comes over and goes, 'Sorry, we can't let you through and you've a gun on your T-shirt.' "

No matter; pictures of guns are the most dangerous weapons of all. The guy should have added a turban to his attire - they wouldn't have dared hassle him then.

Ummm....Jayakody is probably of South Asian/Indian origin. The turban wouldn’t have been enough....he should have also grown a foot-long beard and shouldhave had a few bombs strapped to his chest.
This true muslim get up would have gotten him through.

If the almost passenger had worn a shirt over his T-shirt it have been a concealed handgun picture. He’d have probably been shot on the spot.

How sad.
I just watched a couple of old British WWII movies yesterday centered around their determination and fighting spirit during the Battle of Britain.
It got me thinking how far this once proud people have fallen in just a half a century.
They have gone from a nation that held back the tide of Hitler’s Luftwaffe and fought Rommel to his defeat to a nation of politically correct idiots that jails grandmothers for standing up to gangs of miscreants and cowers at the sight of an artists rendering of a weapon.
Do they even allow the airing of old war movies on British TV anymore?

Do they even allow the airing of old war movies on British TV anymore?Yes. But anything deemed offensive is edited out. A once 1-1/2 hr movie is now 10 minutes. With half of that being commercials.

Jared Diamond wrote a book a few years back called "Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Succeed." The premise was for the most part trendy Green: Cultures fail because they try to support too many people on the land, causing them to ruin the soil and cut down all the forests, etc....snip...
I submit Western culture is entering a similarly strange and suicidal reverie. Eventually, loud and angry foreigners who have grown up hungry will arrive to kill us and take our stuff, as we sit chanting in self-satisfaction at how wise we were to revert to the imagined peaceful lifestyles of our pre-coal, pre-firearm, pre-industrial, short-lived toothless ancestors.
I read this book (I read lefty books to try and understand their twisted minds). Vin is 100 % correct, the left is setting us up for the barbarians at the gate.

Britain is the front man right now, we can't be far behind ---------------- Well, like they said back in WWII...We have a wonderful little "tank trap" between us and them... But that only stops tanks...Ideas transend obstacles like that fairly easy these days...

I’ve heard of people being hassled at British airports for earrings, lapel pins, etc. that look like, or are images of guns.
It’s so stupid. Do they really think that some lady is going to hijack the plane with a pair of earrings? Is this guy’s t-shirt going to “go off” and punch out a window in the aircraft?
Political Correctness is mass insanity.

Maybe 6 months after 9/11, I flew from Raleigh-Durham to San Diego with an NRA t-shirt on.
It says “The Second Amendment: America’s Original Homeland Security”.
I got some icy stares, but the TSA goons didn’t really bother me one bit! I was quite surprised.

This sounds far-fetched to us, but it is happening here already in schools. Many schools when they say “gun free zone” mean no guns of any sort- even on a T shirt. I could see this happening here; all it would take is for a school official to become TSA. It is insanity!!
