Have you seen the reaction to Tony Snow's death in the lib blogosphere? Typical. I won't chronicle it all here. Others have probably already posted some of the "best of" the haters. Bush derangement syndrome on display.
I have a challenge to the libs on my website. (in my signature)They claim we do the same thing. I know that to be false. When Ted Kennedy was diagnosed with brain cancer did Freepers wish him death? One poster at Daily Kos hoped Tony Snow was "being waterboarded in hell." I am sorry. We don't do it. Nor do we have to use F-bombs every other sentence.
Why do they find it important to wish Tony Snow, Cheney, Helms or WFB eternal damnation? Aren't these people the ones with the corner on the market of compassion?
Why do libs find it necessary to hold competitions to see who can fit more cussing into a sentence than the last guy or gal?
I've been giving this some thought. But, would love to see what y'all think. Thanks

They are insane, therefore there is no explanation needed or wanted by them for what they do. As for us, the explanation is that they are insane.
Prove it.Show me instances of that type of hate. Kennedy, Wellstone, Bob Byrd in the hospital recently, Bill Clinton’s heart attack? Prove their is a “hate equivalence.”

I think a good deal of it is their worldview. Too easy to say they are insane. Depressed maybe. But why? Could it be most of them are secular leftists? I am certain all the cussing is due to impressing upon one another how secular they are. They see it as a direct shot at Bush and supporters who are generally people of faith.
Go back to the Kennedy threads. Look at all the locked ones. look at the comments made by the Mods about why they locked. look at all the “comments removed by moderator”.
Granted some of those comments were probably made by parody trolls. Others were not.

No they don’t. I have never seen the sheer hatred from our side that you see from the left. If someone on our side does make a nasty comment, it is quickly dealt with by the mods.
The real test is the response to the trash-talking when someone has suffered a tragedy, illness, etc. Here people are criticized for doing it. Threads are locked or deleted. Do KOS and DU criticize their people? That's the question.
Rush says they will just drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.
Great point. We police our own. If Pat Robertson says we brought on 9/11 he gets clobbered here. There is no equivalence. This is especially true on the blogs.
I like to copy and paste the hate-filled posts and send them to people who call themselves Democrats but are not all that politically engaged. I point out that these are the people they will be throwing in with if they vote Democrat. No decent person wants to be associated with those kinds of nuts, so they tend to lose interest in voting. I’ve even converted a couple, although I think they were ripe for the picking anyway. Reading the vitriol from the left just helped me make the sale. :)

Yes, this is a sad misconception, mischaracterization that often saddens me. We who are informed KNOW that conservatives are compassionate, consistently - versus far-left liberals, most of whom are perpetually angry and hateful. (As a general rule.)
Interestingly, though, on one of the many tribute shows I watched about Tony Snow (FNC, of course) - all of which had tons of people from both sides of the fence - it was reported that many lib blogs actually spoke kindly of TS, calling him a Mensch, which, as you all probably know, is the highest praise. So, evidently, several of them did appreciate him.

yes - a simple example of THAT is, I recently got a friend of mine who previous only watched PBS (Bill Moyers), Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann (barf) to check out Bill O’Reilly, chiefly because of Keith O’s daily hate rant (literally) against Bill O and the “feud” between them. I kept telling my friend that bill o NEVER, ever mentions keith o and that this supposed “feud” was purely an invention of keith o, primarily due to envy over his inferior ratings in the same time slot. (I also opened my friend’s eyes on chris matthews - another story for another time :-)))
He now refuses to watch either matthews or olbermann. AND he sees that conservatives really aren’t hateful or irrational - (just the opposite, in fact) - but that the left IS. And I keep educating him as to why.
Guys, this war often has to be fought one person at a time. But, boy does it take patience :-)))))))))))))

Liberalism, or the complete loss of one’s responsbility and consequences for anything resulting from those actions.
When Sen. Kennedy was hospitalized, almost six weeks ago, it disturbed me--in part, probably, because it served as a reminder of my own mortality; but also because one should not wish a gruesome fate upon political and philosophical adversaries. And when Tim Russert, a center-left (yet impeccably fair) journalist, suddenly collapsed and died a month ago, it shocked and saddened me. I said as much (in both of these cases) on both this and another forum.
More importantly, others--many others--expressed similar sentiments. Most conservatives, it seems to me, are not haters. We wish to debate ideas, robustly and with conviction; but we do not hope for the death of those who disagree with our views, or gleefully cheer when tragedy occurs.
Although some mainstream liberals comported themselves decency in this matter (Bob Beckel, with whom I seldom agree, spoke warmly of Tony Snow on a special edition of Bill O'Reilly's show Saturday night), this is not the case with much of the hard left. These folks appear to lack the subtlety that would allow them to distinguish between a philosophical adversary and an enemy.
The are absolutely deranged!!! At the doctors office the other day a perfectly pleasant woman went ballistic on me after seeing my’’ W 2004 ‘’tee shirt. She kept screaming ‘’your an idiot’’ ‘’your an idiot’’ at the top of her lungs.These people are really dangerous and they scare me!

There are many posters here on FreeRepublic.com who would be like that. The AdminModerator shut down many threads about Ted Kennedy because they were just out and out abusive.
I’ve seen enough trash from LIEberal scumbags posted on various video tributes to make my blood boil. Their venomous, hate-filled posts are typical of the average DUmocrat voter suffering from BDS.
I know Tony would say that every person has a purpose in God’s eyes, but I just don’t see these folks as anything more than wastes of flesh and hot air.
Don't you remember how many posts had to be pulled here on FreeRepublic when Ted Kennedy got sick.
Granted, we don't leave those posts up, but we've got way too many hate filled folks here these days. Not so much a few years ago, but I have been discouraged of late at how more than a few here have behaved regarding personal tragedy when it happens to Dems. I'm just sayin'.
