If conservatives ever though there was little difference between John McCain and Barack Obama on Immigration -- think again! Yesterday, in a speech to La Raza, Barack Obama likened Immigration Enforcement efforts to "terror" . . . (see video)
When communities are terrorized by ICE immigration raids, when nursing mothers are torn from their babies, when children come home from school to find their parents missing, when people are detained without access to legal counsel, when all that is happening, the system just isn’t working, and we need to change it.
As this campaign wears on, Obama is systematically showing himself for what he is - the most radically far-left liberal candidate to ever seek the Presidency.

The only reason that lie can be proffered is that we stupidly give citizenship to children born to illegals in the US. To be more accurate, Obama should have phrased his lie: “When nursing mothers in the US illegally are torn from their anchor babies.”

Illegals are “terrorized” and “torn from their mother’s breast”. Oh my. They’re also coming over the border by the thousands, causing a drain on social services, and not paying any withholding or social security taxes. They are a drain on American society. Americans are supposed to pick up the bill, while politicians pander to illegals.

Actually, he was a US Border Patrol Agent and a member of BORTAC the BP’s tactical team. At the time the Border Patrol was part of the INS.
They executed the operation to recover Elian in under 123 seconds with no injuries to anyone which is remarkable considering there were hundreds of trouble makers in the area just looking to make a seen.
People forget that the family had their day in court and lost. They appealed and lost again. The defied the law and essentially kidnapped Elian. US and international law are clear the father (even if he was a Castro loving communist) had custody. If the U.S. had kept Elian we would have no standing to recover the children of U.S. citizens all over the world when dealing with custody issues.
The agents who recovered Elian had a valid warrant and executed the operation without any injuries to anybody. For that some people around here refer to them as jack booted thugs. Go figure.

As a Border Patrol Agent with ICE experience I can tell you that I’ve never seen illegal alien babies and mothers torn apart. Unfortunately this doesn’t happen because it needs to. Illegal alien mothers are incompetent and generally do not produce offspring that are conducive to good US or Mexican citizenship. These leeches can drag their kids through the most horrid conditions and the government heaps all manner of praise and benefits on the leeches. However, God forbid a USC spanks their kid for misbahavior. Then the government thugs descend upon the parent like a team of Navy SEALS.
