Jesse "The Body" or "The Governor" Ventura is making his announcement tonight on Larry King Live if he will be running for Senate from Minnesota against Norm Coleman (R) and Al Franken (D).

Disappointing thing about Ventura is he supported a consumption tax in his book, but failed to implement it as Governor, and this was before 911 when Minnesota had a surplus.
A local Poll I just saw has Jesse well ahead of Coleman & Franken............

Jesse will take votes from Franken. His running virtually destroys the chance of a Democrat pickup in this race. Jesse might be a kook but he is a useful kook.

I once thought he was a legit guy...
But with the beyond loony things he has been saying about 9/11, the good people of Minnesota will not take that very well.
If anything, I think he is going to hurt Al Franken more than he does Senator Coleman.

Jesse, freedom is worth fighting for at any cost, I appreciate what our Military has done to spread freedom, I would pay $26 a gallon for gas if it meant more freedom in the world. And I served, because that seems to mean something to you when assessing Coleman Judgment on supporting the war, even your Democrat buddy Tim Walz decided it was the right thing to vote for funding for the war, because like it or not, when Americans volunteer for war, we at home should do all we can to see they get the weapons and support till the last man comes home.

Jesse is pormoting Jesse again. He knows he doesn’t have a snowballs chance on his own in a one on one race, so comes in as a spoiler. In his Gubenatorial victory, nobody was more suprised than he was after the votes were counted. Fortunately, we’ve seen his act once and I doubt he’ll garner the same kind of anti-status-quo voting that he did before. If he should win, he’ll do nothing for anyone but himself as he did in his last public ‘service’ posting.
