Romans 8: 38-39
For I am persuaded,
that neither death, nor life,
nor angels, nor principalities,
nor powers, nor things present,
nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth,
nor any other creature,
shall be able to separate us
from the love of God,
which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
You are the strength of Your people---a fortress of salvation for those who trust in You. We look to You with eyes of hope, full of faith, knowing that when we wait for You, You will not forsake us. You have not forgotten the prayers of Your children. You are our God of grace, of glory, and of faithfulness. Though our hearts may be full of fear and anxious thoughts, yet we find our peace in You. Grant us that peace today, Lord, as we pause to think about You and Your love, Your tender mercies, and Your awesome omnipotence.
Father, we ask that you would help our President to realize even greater understanding of who he is in Christ Jesus. You have given him the authority to use the Name of Jesus in his prayers, standing upon the Word of truth that cannot be denied. Help him to know that he is more than a conqueror through You who love him; and neither death nor life, nor angels nor demons, nor the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor ANYTHING else in all creation can separate him from Your powerful love that is in Christ Jesus, our Lord. Father, grant him high energy, a sense of purpose, and the desire to do all for Your glory during his remaining days in office.
God of grace, place in our military men and women a growing, vital love for You, and help them to know that they cannot be separated from that love, no matter where they are on the face of this earth. Grant them a strong commitment to the freeing of the Iraqi nation. We ask You to bless them for their faithfulness to America and to the Iraqi people. Protect each one from all evil and grant Your comfort and peace to those who wait for them at home.
Father, we cannot allow the devil victory over our lives nor can we surrender our nation to him. Lord, help us to make a difference in any way You ask us to work. Make us instruments of Your peace, Almighty God, and may Your blessings continue to shower this nation. In the Name of our Most Beloved and Precious Savior, Jesus Christ, our Lord, we pray all these things. Amen.
Come and pray in the Name of Jesus Christ.
I join in prayer for President Bush, the Administration, the election and our heroes standing in harm’s way!
Amen. May God bless your President.
AMEN SISTER AND GRACE TO ALL CHRISTIAN PATRIOTS!
“Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer.”
- Psalm 66:20
In looking back upon the character of our prayers, if we do it honestly,
we shall be filled with wonder that God has ever answered them. There may
be some who think their prayers worthy of acceptance-as the Pharisee did;
but the true Christian, in a more enlightened retrospect, weeps over his
prayers, and if he could retrace his steps he would desire to pray more
earnestly. Remember, Christian, how cold thy prayers have been. When in
thy closet thou shouldst have wrestled as Jacob did; but instead thereof,
thy petitions have been faint and few-far removed from that humble,
believing, persevering faith, which cries, “I will not let thee go except
thou bless me.” Yet, wonderful to say, God has heard these cold prayers of
thine, and not only heard, but answered them. Reflect also, how infrequent
have been thy prayers, unless thou hast been in trouble, and then thou
hast gone often to the mercy-seat: but when deliverance has come, where
has been thy constant supplication? Yet, notwithstanding thou hast ceased
to pray as once thou didst, God has not ceased to bless. When thou hast
neglected the mercy-seat, God has not deserted it, but the bright light of
the Shekinah has always been visible between the wings of the cherubim.
Oh! it is marvellous that the Lord should regard those intermittent spasms
of importunity which come and go with our necessities.
What a God is he thus to hear the prayers of those who come to him when
they have pressing wants, but neglect him when they have received a mercy;
who approach him when they are forced to come, but who almost forget to
address him when mercies are plentiful and sorrows are few.
Let his gracious kindness in hearing such prayers touch our hearts, so
that we may henceforth be found “Praying always with all prayer and
supplication in the Spirit.
